Drinking Kool-Aid was a fun and memorable part of lots of our childhoods. But did you know there are other uses for the colorful sugary mix other than drinking? Kool-Aid is great for cleaning, cooking, dyeing, and creating lots of fun crafts that your kids will absolutely love.

Here are 10 of our favorite ways to use Kool-Aid other than drinking it:

Scrub Your Toilets

Pour lemon or orange flavored Kool-Aid into your toilet and scrub your stains with a toilet brush. Not only will the citric acid and texture help remove the stains, but it also smells way better than chemical cleaning products.

Remove Washing Machine/Dish Washer Buildup

Using Kool-Aid in your washing machine has the same effect as using it in your toilet. Add 1/4 cup of lemon or orange Kool-Aid to your wash cycle without clothes and repeat as necessary.

To sanitize your dishwasher, pour lemon Kool-Aid in the detergent compartment and run your empty dishwasher through a normal cycle.
