If you’ve ever tried to tie a decorative bow by hand you’ve likely failed, epically. It most likely came out looking like some lopsided mess or something that doesn’t resemble a bow at all. Thankfully, Handimania has come up with a hack that will make your bows come out picture perfect every single time.

This method will allow you to create the most adorable tiny little bows that you’ve ever seen. These bows can be used for gift wrapping or decorating cards. As hair bows for people, hair bows for dogs, and whatever else you can think of. These bows are so darn cute that we might just put bows on everything.

Here’s how you can create the perfect bow.

You’ll need a fork and two pieces of ribbon. Make sure your ribbon is a soft type of ribbon and that it isn’t too wide. Using a different color for the second ribbon will help give your bow some dimension, but you can use the same color for both ribbons if you want.

First, weave the first ribbon through the prongs of the fork. Make sure the prongs are facing upward. Start with the ribbon going under the first prong and over the second, and so on.

When you get to the end weave the ribbon back through in the opposite direction. Weave about five rows of ribbon, then push your five rows of weaving to the top of the fork.

Then take the second ribbon and pull it through the center of the fork. Poke the ribbon through from the front of the fork and underneath your five rows of weaving. Next, pull the second ribbon from behind and over the top of the fork and tie the two ends of the second ribbon over the weaving.

This will form a knot that you should pull as tight as you can. Flip the fork over so the knot side doesn’t show. Next, gently slide your creation off of the fork. When it slides off, your ribbon should be in the shape of a bow

Cut off the long ends of the both of your ribbons to your desired length. You can burn the ends of the ribbon to melt and seal the ends. This will prevent the ends of the ribbon from unraveling.

Now, you have a pretty bow! You can use your tiny bows as an embellishment for a larger bow, to scrapbook with or to attach to a headband for a baby. Let your imagination run wild with this!

These bows really add a cute and girly touch to your craft making projects. Happy bow making!
