Some people love tiny houses, and some people just don’t get them.
It’s understandable to feel both ways.
Some people don’t like how small the houses are.
On the other hand, tiny house lovers like that the houses are affordable and allow you to easily travel.
Plus, they’re very customizable. And a perfect example of that can be seen in this house.
Ana White is a DIY YouTube star who built her own tiny house.
When you hear “tiny house,” there is a range of possibilities that could come to mind. Some are thrown together and look a bit run down.
Ana’s home, on the other hand, is the complete opposite.
It is an open-air concept that looks stylish and professional in every aspect!
In a video posted to her YouTube channel, she even gives us a tour of the home.
Living in rural Alaska comes with its challenges.
As Ana says, “There isn’t a Target down the road,” which means that she hand-built a lot of the features that we will see here in a bit.
The trade-off for not having a Target around is the incredible views and scenery, so I don’t think she is complaining too much.
The outside of the home is dark gray with a wonderful wood doorway.
The dark gray of the outside really gives the home a trendy and put-together look.
Also, it probably makes sense to go with a utilitarian color in a place like Alaska. Anything too “frivolous” probably seems out of place.
The wood accent on the door also adds to the rustic vibes that Ana is going for.
Once you step inside, you realize how well-designed the home is.
Framed on a trailer, you have limited space to build.
Thanks to some clever engineering, however, the entire space feels full and airy.
The walls are painted white, giving the feeling that the home is actually bigger than it is.
Everything is also built in a way that makes the home feel like one big room, enhancing that effect.
Storage is essential in a tiny home.
Every nook and cranny is used for storage in an efficient tiny home.
This one has extra storage built into the steps as well as hidden drawers.
The living room is astonishing.
Built with the same open-air feel, the whole living space is a sight to behold.
With a massive window that brings in light and a desk, couch, and seating space, there is nothing more you could ask for.
It practically begs you to sit with a cup of coffee in it.
The best part? The motorized bed!
The kitchen is where memories are made!
Food is always the glue that holds families together, right?
Well, you won’t have to worry about the limits of your kitchen with this home. It includes induction burners, a sink, and a microwave.
The only thing it doesn’t have is a full-blown oven!
Also, cleverly hidden in the drawers is a full washer/dryer combo for all your laundry needs.
With a built-in water heater, shower, and toilet, all the basic amenities are taken care of.
While these are often not the most pretty aspects of a tiny home, the bathroom and toilet are some of the most important things!
This tiny home has a hot water heater (especially important in Alaska) and a compost toilet, all with hidden nooks for storage and other items.
Everything in this house is so clever — especially the elevator bed.
Check out the elevator bed and the rest of the house for yourself in the video below!
