Maximus Extreme Living Solutions is a tiny home building company that doesn’t just build your average small house on wheels – they make ‘tiny homes on steroids,’ according to their website.
Dubbed the ‘Tiny Ski Lodge,’ the 240-square-foot incredible home has two floors of incredibly beautiful and clever design.
The exterior of the home is a gorgeous mix of natural wood and navy blue metal accents. Windows of varying shapes and sizes are a wonderful touch and provide lots of natural light once inside. With two outdoor porches, it’d be a shame to leave this home parked on the mountain all year – luckily, it’s mobile, so you can move it to the beach or desert if you’d like.
The living room is located on the upper loft of the Tiny Ski Lodge.
The upstairs loft is a cozy, welcoming space with beautiful neutral colors. There is a comfy couch that sits under the porthole window with throw pillows and blankets, as well as a plush ottoman and multiple rugs that add color and texture to the room.
The door near the lounge leads to an outdoor seating area on the back patio. The bench was once part of an old ski lift.
From another angle, the living room loft appears to be floating as there is no railing or wall at the edge of the loft floor. The light wood squares at the bottom of the photo are the stairs that lead down to the bottom floor.
The photo above was taken from the second loft, which is accessed by the same staircase that continues left up to the sleeping area.
The sleeping loft has the same “floating” effect as there is no railing or wall at the edge of the loft floor. There is enough room for a queen-size bed and a small walkway. There is also a small built-in shelf for knick-knacks and lots of windows for a bright and airy feel.
Follow the unique staircase down to the bottom floor that houses another lounge area, as well as the kitchen and bathroom. It’s hard to imagine that this tiny home is just 240-square-feet with so many beautiful features and rooms.
Located on the main floor of the Tiny Ski Lodge is the ‘crafting room.’
A ‘crafting room’ is often found as ski lodges, and it is the room where you can prep your equipment for your ride down the slopes and talk shop with fellow skiers and boarders. In this case, it could certainly be used in the classic sense, but it’s also a wonderful room for lounging and socializing. You could even add large cushions to transform the spacious benches into guest beds. Notice the storage underneath.
The bathroom is modest and simple, as well as eco-friendly.
In the small bathroom, you will find a composting toilet, sink, and a stand-up shower (not pictured).
Perhaps one of the most exciting features of the home is the outdoor, portable, wood-fired hot tub.
Whenever the Tiny Ski Lodge is picked up and moved to a new location, the portable hot tub can come with you! Learn more about this type of hot tub, how it works, and where to get one at the ALFI website.
