Located in the ghost town of Cora, Wyoming, a 332-square-foot log cabin sits on over 9-acres of land – surrounded by peace and serenity.
The owners of this secluded cabin take life back to a simpler way and slower pace of life. Cora, the town nearby, has a population of only 300 people, so peace and quiet is certainly the name of the game at this rustic log retreat.
The cabin features a large front porch that wraps along the side of the home.
Relax on the porch with a cup of coffee and a nice book. Take in the views of the Tetons and watch wildlife pass by. Split rail fencing once helped contain animals and also serve as a snow fence.
Stepping into the cabin is like stepping back in time.
The interior of the log cabin is reminiscent of the 1800’s, when the town was thriving, with a few modern upgrades, of course. Vaulted ceilings make the small room feel spacious, and the wooden logs from the exterior make up the walls inside as well. The epitome of a log cabin. There is a small wood stove in the corner which keeps the cabin cozy and warm.
Looking the opposite direction, you get a better view of the cabin’s quaint and charming kitchen.
The kitchen might be small, but it has everything you could need for a relaxing weekend away. There is a stainless steel double-basin sink, a gas stove and oven, and a mini-fridge. The black appliances and cabinet doors are a beautiful contrast to the light wood. There is also a copper backsplash behind the stove for an added element of decor and function.
Take in the incredible views while dining at the table under the long picture window.
Prop open the door, take a seat, and savor the sights, smells, and sounds of the insanely gorgeous Wyoming wilderness while enjoying a nice meal. Who cares that the cabin is less than 350-square-feet when you have views like this?
The modest bedroom is large enough for a full-size bed.
The bedroom features two windows that let in lots of natural light. Perfect for waking up with the sunrise. The wood paneling in the room continues with the rustic authenticity of the log cabin. There is a propane heater next to the bed to keep guests warm while they’re sleeping during those snowy Wyoming nights.
The cabin’s bathroom boasts a flush toilet and built-in shelves.
In addition to the flushing toilet, there is also a granite countertop, sink, and shower. Wood paneling and simple decor warm the space.
Surprisingly, the log cabin was built in 2007. The builders and designers did a wonderful job of creating a rustic feel mixed with modern needs and amenities.
No matter the season, the views surrounding this tiny countryside getaway are absolutely glorious. Sunshine and green fields in the summer, and snowy white rolling hills in the winter.
