The kitchen is a very busy area of our house, which is why it can easily descend into an unruly mess. Things can get squished into drawers or tossed into cabinets haphazardly throughout the day.
And when that countertop gets cluttered, it can be downright maddening. But there is a way to put an end to kitchen chaos once and for all.
All you need is a few hacks to and tips to get your kitchen in tip-top, organized shape. Your kitchen will be a serene and orderly space in no time.
Store cupcake liners in a mason jar
Cupcake liners usually spill out of the thin plastic packaging they come in once opened. Store them in a mason jar instead. This will keep them in place and prevent them from becoming misshapen.
Stick-on hooks to hold pan lids
When pan lids get disorganized, they take up a lot of space. Use sticky hooks on the inside of a cabinet door with the hooks facing inward to hold lids in place. This will keep this organized while giving you back space.
DIY magnetic spice rack
Spice racks can take up a lot of space. So, can placing them inside of a cabinet. You can make your own DIY magnetic spice rack with magnetic canisters from the dollar store. Place them on your refrigerator to save space.
Organize seasoning packets
Seasoning packets can pile up into a disorganized mess in the cabinet. Use a photo or other unused box to store them neatly. You can also use binder clips and hang them from sticky hooks on the inside of a cabinet door to keep open packets fresh and/or increase space.
DIY coffee nook
Reclaim precious counter space by creating a coffee nook in a different area of your home on top of a cabinet. You can move all of your mugs in this area by hanging them from hooks on a floating coat rack shelf. Store all your tea bags in labeled boxes and coffee grinds in air-tight glass jars.
Repurpose coffee creamer containers
This is a fantastic reuse of the plastic we use every day. Instead of tossing coffee creamer containers, rinse them out and use them to store other items in your home. This can be anything from cat treats, cereal, popcorn kernels, glitter, or chocolate chips.
Organize cabinets with dividers
Get the most out of your cabinet space by dividing it up. You can use dividers vertically to create separate compartments for cutting boards, trays, and other items.
Under the sink storage hack
Don’t miss out on that precious space under your sink. Get the most out of it by installing a tension rod. You can hang spray bottles from it and keep them in the air instead of on the floor.
Space saver dish rack
Don’t let your dish rack eat up all of your counter space. There are plenty of options that make offer double rack storage or raise the rack up. You can even hang other kitchen items from it.

This provides a great way to add extra space in your kitchen while keeping it organized. Screw mason jar tops to the underside of your hanging cabinets. Fill the jar with items and screw them into the tops.
Labeled pantry baskets
Keep your pantry looking like a beacon of organization by using bins to store items. This is especially great when storing multiple items of the same item. Label those bins for added order.
Pot and pan ceiling rack
Don’t have anywhere to store pots and pans? Hang them from a ceiling. Hang a grate from the ceiling and use “S” hooks to hang kitchen items from it.
