It can be hard to keep up with dust gathering around your house. Sometimes it feels like even just after cleaning, things around the house manage to find a way to collect dust yet again. Not to mention, it can be super hard to get dust out of some spots.

Use a lint roller
Having a sticky surface that you can roll around can be perfect for dusting items like lampshades, sheets, and pillows around the house. Luckily, you might have a lint roller laying, which would be the perfect device!
Or use a mop!
Using a bit of water also helps to pick up more dust. Be sure to mop around every so often, even getting the walls and the ceiling.
Clean your plants every once in a while
Plants are wonderful air purifiers. Unfortunately, they can’t do their job as well if you don’t make sure their kept clean so be sure to give them a wash every now and then!
And don’t forget to change your filter!
Having a dirty filter that hasn’t been replaced in a while is sure to load your house with dust everywhere. Make sure you remember to change it once a month to keep dust from collecting in your house.
Maintain your humidity
Keeping the humidity in your house at a healthy balance of about 40 to 50 percent helps a ton to stave off dust. Just pick up a humidifier from any retail store of your choosing!

Start from the top and work downwards when you clean
For maximum efficiency in cleaning, and making sure that you don’t undo your good work, be sure to start dusting from the top of your rooms and work your way downwards. This will help you avoid having dust fall back down onto surfaces that you’ve already cleaned.
Try replacing your vacuum nozzle with a toilet paper tube
Vacuum nozzles are great for collecting dust, but are often difficult to get into tight spaces. If you replace your nozzle with you toilet paper tube though, it’ll give you much more flexibility.
Make a fabric softener mixture
Mix 1 part fabric softener and 4 parts water and dip a cloth into the mixture before you start wiping your surfaces. It’ll not only make it easier to remove dust, but it’ll help to keep dust from collecting in the first place.
Use fabric gloves
Dusting a delicate surface or shiny objects that can take in fingerprints can be a pain. Try wearing some fabric gloves before you clean. It works especially great for chandeliers and other glass objects.
Or you can use an old sock
If you don’t have fabric gloves, don’t worry! You can always use a clean old sock instead. It’s super useful for cleaning blinds quickly.
