When most people look at a paper clip they see a tiny piece of metal that has only one use. However, you’d be surprised to learn that there are more uses for paper clips outside of the office than inside of the office.

Here are 15 ways to use a paper clip that doesn’t involve holding the paper together.

Hang a Decorative Plate or Picture

Slightly bend a paper clip so that the larger end is protruding. Attach the bottom end of the clip with a heavy duty adhesive, like E6000, to a flat-backed decorative plate or something else you’d like to hang. You can hang the plate or picture on a nail. Get the full tutorial here.

Arrange a Flower Bouquet

Use paper clips to help you arrange a bouquet. Use can completely untwist the clip and use it as florist wire, or untwist it halfway and push the stems through the hooked sides to keep your flowers straight.
