One of the greatest things about art is that it has nearly no limits.
Anything can become a work of art.

Of course, we are used to artists working with mediums such as canvas and paint or marble slabs with a chisel.
However, you don’t need these items to create something incredible.
You can do amazing work using everyday items.

One artist, who goes by Mokso on social media, has decided to use matches as his preferred artistic tool.
His art is unique in that he spends hours, sometimes even months, creating incredible sculptures and images before lightening them on fire.
The burn is important, too.
And the burning of his art is just as important as the sculpture that he created.
Mokso has sculpted dragons, battleships, starfighters, and more out of matches before lighting them on fire and watching them go up in flames.

One of his videos has racked up over 116 million views and is definitely worth a watch.
In this video, Mokso builds a volcano entirely out of matches before lighting it and creating an epic eruption.
He starts off with a single match.

He applies a bit of hot glue to the match stick and adheres it to the surface that he is working on.
A labor of love…and time.
Mokso repeats this process for hours, building out layer after layer of matches in order to form the structure of the volcano.
Before he finishes building up the entire volcano wall, he creates a doorway and a path of matches leading inside of the volcano.
Also, to add as much fuel as he can, he cuts off a bunch of match heads and pours the sticks into the center of the volcano to fill it up.

With the heads, he pours them into a toilet paper roll tube and places the tube right in the center of the volcano.
He then adds a roof to the door and continues to build up the outside of the volcano.
The process is monotonous, but Mokso is determined to finish his volcano and produce something awesome.
Finally, he places the final match.

However, instead of covering the top, Mokso fills it with more match heads.
He’s hoping that this will add more firepower when he finally strikes the first match.

Now that the volcano is complete, there is only one thing left to do.
Light it on fire.
He lights the end of the match path and sets off a chain reaction.
This volcano has taken him about 25 hours in total to complete and required 17,342 matches.

Hopefully, the result will be worth all that time and effort.
As the flame makes its way to the opening of the volcano, it catches and the entire thing goes up in flames.
It roars and pops and sends lapping flames high into the air.
The result is incredible.
