When we were little kids many of us would pretend our homes were in magical places like under the sea, up in the treetops, or on a pirate ship.
Perhaps even a inside of a cave.
Well, your childhood dreams can come true. Because a cave that has been transformed into a home is for sale.
But its a far cry from any cave shelter you’d have thought up as a child. This place is luxurious to the max.
It’s actually called knowns as the “World’s most luxurious cave,” according to Bored Panda.
The Beckham Creek Cave is located in a very remote part of Arkansas. It was originally built as a bomb shelter and was later converted into a luxury hotel that can accommodate up to eight guests or sleep up to 16.
The cost is between $1,200 and $1,600 per night. The home incorporates stalagmites and stalactites in its four bedroom, four bathroom designs.
Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed surrounded by exposed cavern rock walls, a fancy bathroom, and an overhead rain shower that feels like a waterfall is in your room.
It also features a full kitchen with high-end gas appliances and a double convection oven. You can dine at the wooden bar top or separate dining room table.
The home also has multiple living room areas with lofts and balconies. It has a 75-inch LED television mounted on the cavern walls, cozy couches, and thermal heating.
The outdoor areas of this property are just as stunning as the indoor areas.
It has a waterfall and a helipad. Apparently, the helipad was used to transport celebrity guests who visited the cave when it was briefly turned into a nightclub, Realtor reports.
There’s also a nearby catch-and-release pond on the property.
The outdoor deck sports amazing views and is perfect for grilling up some food.
Take the paddle boat or canoe out on the pond where you can fish. You can also enjoy hiking, horseback riding, or helicopter rides.
“The water for the cave comes from the 1.5 mile interior of the cave and flows into a holding tank which goes through a purification system. What is not used and is overflow, travels under the floor of the lodge and comes out into another holding pool beside the front door, then overflows down the mountain (in the times of heavy rain – it’s a waterfall of sorts) to then be held in the large pond down in the pasture beside the helipad. The water in the pond is a beautiful azure blue from all the rich minerals and it’s stocked with fish,” said Lodge manager Rayne Davidson.
The property is now being sold at a starting bid of $2.7 million.

“The level of interest has been terrific! Everyone LOVES the cave!” Rayne told Bored Panda.
“The buyers so far have been looking at it from an investor point of view and the rate of return isn’t there. There’s 256 acres which bring in no income and, you’re buying a CAVE, which is hard to recoup $$ for. The lodging income does however cover all the bills.”
“It would be better if someone with plenty of funds could just buy it as their spectacular one and only home. Or, invest a little bit more and build several cabins and use the lodge for the central gathering place, then you’d have a proper rate of return.”
