Can you imagine living in the middle of the woods?

Jess never imagined she’d be living in a rainforest in Queensland, but when she looked for possible lots, a couple offered this place.

They allowed Jess to build and park her tiny home here in exchange for maintaining the area. With the surroundings and her excellent tiny home design, Jess lived in a place of both simplicity and luxury.

She tried to live as off-the-grid as possible.

Jess collects rainwater in her 5,000-liter tank, allowing her to catch as much water as possible, especially when there is less rain in her area. She also has solar panels on a separate trailer to power her entire house and a backup generator just in case she doesn’t get much sun, especially with all the shade from the trees around her.

Her tiny home has as many glass windows as possibly allowed.

You can’t take your eyes off the lovely skylight and the windows above the walls. Those on eye level work like a frame that draws you in a realistic “portrait” of the rainforest outside. All that vibe matched the coziness of her sofa bed.

The kitchen looked simple yet absolutely stunning.

Jess enjoys cooking and loves to bake occasionally, so this design worked well with how she uses this space. There is also lots of storage that keeps all her kitchen tools and utensils so it wouldn’t look too cluttered.

One of the things you wouldn’t expect in a tiny home is a large bathroom.

Jess had a lot more room in there than the usual tiny houses you’ll see. She had a spacious shower, a beautiful vanity, and a composting toilet.

But the highlight of this room is the hidden storage! It looks like an ordinary wall at first glance, but when you push it, voila! It’s her storage for all her camping and hiking stuff. Brilliant!

And can you guess where the staircase to her loft is?

It might take you a while to guess it right because it is somewhere you won’t expect a loft’s access to be. It’s at the far left side of her hidden cabinet, leading right on top! Who would have thought, right?

Prepare for your jaws to drop once you reach the top!

Her loft bedroom has enough room for her bed and legroom on both sides. But what catches your attention are the windows around.

Jess loves the skylight because she can look at the stars and moon as she rests, while the surrounding windows give her a panoramic view of the rainforest.

Jess tried to add a personal touch to make the house more of her home.

For one, you would notice a wall with her artworks that she does when she needs some artistic inspiration or to destress. She also added as many plants as possible to add freshness to her home.

You will also notice how there are only a few lights installed.

With all the windows in her home, Jess said that her entire house is well-lit during the day. She only has a few lights in important corners, like her kitchen and bathroom, and she added some fairy lights that run along her indoor plants.
