It’s always best to check your local regulations on what you can and can’t do when building a tiny home.
You might find a loophole around the laws and get away with getting permits and other paperwork, just like Sheree found in Castleton, Ontario, Canada.
Their law would allow them to build a structure if it’s only 10×10 in the area but has no limit in height.

That’s how Sheree found a way to build her tiny house called The Red Tower.
She stayed true to the structure’s area dimensions but made up for the lack of space on the ground with its height.
The Red Tower is perfect for people who want to enjoy the view while on vacation.
The outdoor facilities make staying on the property such a delight.
You don’t have to worry about washing your dishes because the outdoor sink is equipped with hot and cold water, which Sheree attached to a portable propane heater while the water is connected to her well at home.
Since The Red Tower is located in the great outdoors, Sheree constructed a screen room.
The shade protects the dining area from rain and sun, while the screen around it is to keep bugs from bugging you while you dine.
That way, you can eat and enjoy the view without anything bothering you.
The toilet and bath are also situated outside.
Their toilet is a simple outhouse built away from the main structure so that it wouldn’t catch that much attention.
However, the shower is just nearby the screen room.
The highlight of the outdoor area is the cooling pool.

It’s a simple dipping pool with a puck-like cover that’s big enough for one person, but it’s a unique feature to have a place to cool down, especially on a hot summer’s day.
The interior has everything you need for your comfort despite the limited space.
You enter a room with so much height and light because they utilize the unused wall space for windows.
There are two comfortable-looking seats to lounge and enjoy the view, but Sheree planned to turn it into a fixed L-sofa to make more room.
The Red Tower has a kitchen equipped with the basic appliances you need.
There’s a refrigerator, electric stove, coffee maker, toaster, and electric kettle, which are more than enough to make a complete meal.
But the best part is the loft bedroom with a sweet 360 view of the scenery outside.
There’s enough legroom to walk at the side of the bed, but not as much as the headroom for you to stand, stay by the ledge, and appreciate the view outside.
It’s one of the best ways to enjoy the sunrise and sunset while staycationing there.
Sheree’s The Red Tower is for backpackers or those who want to enjoy a relaxing staycation.

The amenities are perfect for short stays making guests comfortable during their vacation.
Plus, according to Sheree, their tiny home was created so people would come to appreciate the view around them.
