You don’t need your hair to be a certain, color, length, or anything else to be beautiful.
You don’t need makeup or a makeover.
True beauty comes from within and we are most beautiful when we are happy.
Our joy on the inside shines on the outside.
But sometimes we just have trouble seeing our own beauty.
And that’s where a good makeover can help. Getting a new look and getting all dolled up can make us feel good so that our inner beauty can shine.
Christopher Hopkins, the Makeover Guy, loves using “The Power of Pretty” to get women to see how special they are. One woman was looking for a new look since her daughter was getting married.
So, she decided to go big with the Makeover Guy.
Hopkins thought that he would try to bring her back to her younger years.
“First of all, let’s talk hair color. What was your color in your high school graduation picture?” he asked.
He correctly guessed that she had soft blonde colored hair with highlights.
He jokingly asked whether or not she had a perm too.
It was, after all, the 80s! But she was spared from that very “large” hair trend.
But that was high school.
The woman now had long hair past her shoulders.
The roots had grown in about 1/3 of the way and were a dark dirty blonde or light brown color.
The ends were a lighter yellowish blonde.
Hopkins was looking to do something soft and natural and the woman and she was totally on board with that.
But she did have reservations about one thing: how short her hair would be cut.
She was afraid that it would be cut too short and was a little hesitant.
But Hopkins insisted that should do without the extra length.
The transformation was stark and the woman looked like a bombshell!.
Her hair was cropped short to just below her chin and dyed a beautiful strawberry blonde with lighter highlights.
It was then curled and made wavy.
“This one was special and it was quieter in the salon,”Hopkins wrote in the caption of his video.
“I wanted to show how pretty this woman is, but she could not see it. She wanted to feel good about herself. Her daughter was getting married and she wanted MAKEOVERGUY makeover before the big day. Her sisters were awaiting her big reveal. She looks like a movie star.”
The woman’s transformation was pretty drastic and it seemed like it would take her a little bit getting used to.
The video of the makeover was viewed more than 1.6 million times.
“Oh this one made me cry! This lady had all that ‘pretty’ hidden inside her, and just needed some help finding it,” one YouTuber commented.
“It’s always easy for people who can articulate what they want and what they hope for, but there are others who need it dragged out of them, and not everyone has the patience to go digging for it. Thank you for doing that (for her).”
