“I have never looked back. I just think that the lifestyle and the people you meet, it’s phenomenal,” Sharon shared.
Do you ever have a dream that you’ve always wanted to fulfill?
When Sharon retired as a pharmacist, she knew it was time for her to follow her passion in life. She admitted to CheapRVliving that she has always been a gypsy by heart, and it was time for her to fulfill her dream.
Last 2016, Sharon was featured in CheapRVliving, along with her Tab camper that is being towed by her 4-Door Jeep.
According to Sharon, she has been enjoying her life traveling for over a year with her T@b M@x S. She said that she is now living her life the fullest, and she will not trade it for anything else. Let’s learn more about what made her choose to be a nomad.
Sharon said that her priced 2015 T@B M@x S model teardrop camper is the perfect model for her. It may look very tiny for some, but for her, it’s just the perfect size.
She bought it for only $15,000 plus taxes and roughly weighs around 1700 pounds dry. This makes it easier for her Jeep to pull it.
“It’s like it’s not there,” Sharon says. “Sometimes I look in the mirror and go ‘Oh, you’re still there.’”
She also shares that her camper can be powered by either plugging it into a power outlet or by her trusted solar panels that she loves. She showed Bob, the show’s host, how convenient it was and that it even folds up into a case when she is not using it.
How cool is that?
At first, Sharon admitted that it took a while for her to get used to the tiny space, but it was something that can be worked on, and now, she’s very comfortable, and she loves how she can do everything in her small camper.
She gave her audience a short tour of her trailer.
The first thing that you would notice is the small but functional kitchen that includes a tiny three-in-one refrigerator that can run on a battery, plug-in electricity, or propane. Sharon even has a two-burner stove and an entertainment system.
Then, she showed her tiny bathroom/comfort room, and according to her, it may really look small, but she can definitely take a bath in there without being uncomfortable.
She also showed her TV, air conditioner, her fan, and her sitting area. She said she can do her work and relax as well. Let’s not forget her bed that she said can even turn into a sofa. She also loves how her trailer can provide proper ventilation and lighting.
She truly has everything she needs in this functional but cute trailer.
“The best thing about a little rig like this is it forces you to spend a lot of time about outside,” she explains to CheapRVLiving.
Sharon enjoys the outdoors, and she feels relaxed when she’s traveling. Another thing that she loves is that she can meet so many people and make friends.
“When you’re doing this lifestyle it’s about being out in nature and enjoying other people. When you’re in a little rig you can hole up too long or you’ll get a little nuts and you got to come outside.”
You can definitely see it in Sharon’s eyes that she’s very happy and contented with how she lives now. She had worked so hard, and now, it was time for her to live the life that she wanted.
“I have never looked back. I just think that the lifestyle and the people you meet, it’s phenomenal,” she happily shared.
Her choice to become a nomad had opened a whole new adventure for her. It was something that she had been dreaming about, and now, she’s enjoying it.
People may comment on how tiny her trailer is or how it looks uncomfortable, but for Sharon, it’s the best decision that she has ever made.
“It’s so much better. I’ve lived in houses, I’ve lived in condos, I’ve lived in beautiful apartments. I’ve lived in places for two or three years and I didn’t know my neighbors. I didn’t know who was across the way. Out on the road, I met so many fantastic people. You meet someone; you’ll have dinner and often times you’ll keep in touch.”
Comments about her featured interview showed just how much support she has gotten from different people. According to one comment:
“Forget a big, fancy RV. This is absolutely perfect! Just enough space to get all the essentials inside. I am so in love with this setup.”
Another comment said that this video inspired her more to pursue her plan:
“I love this video. I am a woman in the process of purchasing a tab and have a chihuahua as my side kick. This sold me!”
Another person commended the simplicity of Sharon’s trailer:
“This is a rig i could get into. It’s large enough for one but the simplicity is what gets me….it’s all there, kitchen, bath, sleeping and living area. Great job showing this.”
