“The Opposite of Chaos.” There’s no other name perfect for this tiny home.
Vicki was in a lot of chaos before she built this tiny house. Her home in Christchurch, New Zealand, was destroyed due to the earthquakes there.
She had to leave, pack whatever was left of her property, and go to Australia to start anew. She got a job and stayed at a friend’s house until she started saving to rebuild.
That’s when she realized that all she needed was a tiny house.
Vicki got a full-custom container home that’s the perfect size she wanted and within her budget. She also found a lot to settle in – a couple opened it up for people with mobile homes to park.
It’s a plus that they got a beautiful view and a wide field where they were taught how to plant their food.
Vicki’s interior has all the lovely green hues that give a calming effect.
The combination of green, copper, and timber worked perfectly with her interior design. She got her wallpaper from an artist in the Netherlands, and the design matched well with the view outside.
The living area is very simple but nothing short of elegant.
She has a couch that she could sleep on when guests are coming over, and it faces the door so she can enjoy the view outside from her couch.
Her dining-slash-working table has the perfect height since she’s not tall and doesn’t want to use bar stools. Plus, her bench doubles as a shoe rack.
But what’s fantastic about Vicki’s home is her full-sized kitchen.
She has every appliance that she needs but not sacrificing space and storage. You can see how she has enough counter space for her meal prep, cabinetry, and a sliding pantry for storage.
The one thing that will catch your attention in Vicki’s home is the window.
It’s like a beautiful frame looking out to the trees outside, and it fits perfectly well in the overall look of her home. Its size also allows lots of light to come in, making the entire house look vibrant.
Vicki’s bathroom will welcome you with beautiful beads by the entryway.
Inside is her shower with a fascinating design. Her vanity and toilet sit at opposite corners of the room, while she has her closet inside to have easy access to them after a bath. This is also a strategic and wise move for her bedroom.
Up the loft is a spacious bedroom with only the mattress and the lampshade.
Vicki said that her loft bedroom had become a place where she could unwind, relax, and reflect because there was not much clutter.
The skylight right above allows her to see the sky and the stars at night, which also helps her have a good night’s sleep. She can also look down and see her entire home from up there, and it’s still a stunning view to see.
