Women come from far and wide to see Christopher Hopkins when they are in need of a new look.
That’s because he’s known as “The Makeover Guy.”
Hopkins is an entrepreneur, entertainer, internet-star, and “appearance aficionado.”
You may remember him for those dramatic TV makeovers in the 90s on shows like Oprah.

Betsy from San Antonio, Texas knew about Hopkins’ expertise in giving women, especially those who are 50 and older, a new dramatic look.
That’s why she traveled all the way to Hopkins’ salon in Minneapolis to get one of his classic makeovers.
“I turned 60 this year and I thought it was time to do something,” Betsy explains in her makeover video.
She was looking for something “a little dramatic.”
“I’m mostly classic, I just want to throw in a little something,” she told Hopkins once she was in the chair.
She was prepared to put her full makeover look in Hopkins’ hands.
“I am trying hard to keep my mouth shut,” Betsy said. “I told Christopher I wanted him to do what he thought was right. So, I don’t want to give too many of my own personal thoughts because I want him to do what he thinks is right.”
When she sat down, Hopkins was already in love with the coloring of her salt and pepper hair.
He was a fan of the white highlights she had that framed her face among her grey hair.
“Well, your color is beautiful and everyone will give me hate mail if I color it,” Hopkins explained to her.
Instead, he opted to boost her grey with a deeper shade that was closer to her natural one.
“I love that around the face too and I think going blonde will wash you out. The salt’s good but the pepper is boring so if we put pepper in it that’s got a little more depth…,” Hopkins went on. “I would just leave everything out around your face and then foil in.”
But the most dramatic part of the makeover wasn’t the color, it was the cut.
Betsy started out with shoulder-length hair that was mostly white in the front and unevenly darker in the back.
What she ended up with was INCREDIBLY adorable.
Her hair was cut short to her ears and parted on the opposite side with a wave to it.
Her hair color was amazing.
It was a beautiful ash gray with bright white highlights placed evenly throughout.
Her makeup also looked light and fresh.
Betsy absolutely loved her look and her experience with The Makeover Guy.
“Well, I loved meeting Christopher. I mean, I love meeting everybody, everyone was wonderful,” Betsy said. “I loved the makeup lesson, that was really interesting. I love the fact that I have a little ducktail in the back and always wanted again.”
“I’m just so thrilled to death with the whole thing!”
