Jenna was living the life she thought she was supposed to be living. She had gone to college, gotten a job with her degree and was working hard just to make it by. Between her student loan debt and the cost of housing and living she was not able to save any of her hard earned money, like so many others in today’s world. She was determined to find real happiness in life.

Jenna found her true happiness by quitting her job, building her own tiny house and taking it on the road.

Jenna’s tiny house started as a traveling tiny home. She and her boyfriend at the time put their tiny house on a trailer and traveled America. The tiny house travelled over 25,000 miles in its first year! It has seen the views of Alaska all the way to the Florida Keys. Jenna has now parked her tiny house at an RV park in the Pacific Northwest.

Jenna has gotten the best of both worlds in her tiny house; she can travel and still sleep in her own bed every night.

Every square inch of Jenna’s tiny house has a purpose. She does not have the room to have empty space. She designed the tiny house with a vision in mind and it is beautiful. Jenna lives with her dog, Salies, in the tiny house, so she also kept in mind her needs as well. An example being having a small bathtub in her shower space, so she can wash her more easily.

Jenna’s house might be tiny but she does not want its size to stop her from hosting guests.

Jenna has a space that can be converted into four different “rooms” depending on her needs. The space is her living room/office but with one easy pull down a table can appear and change it to a dining room. The space will serve four comfortably but she states it has sit six.

If Jenna has friends or family staying over, the space can be converted into a “guest bedroom.” The futon can be spread out on all the ottomans and turn into a full size bed. This one area of her tiny house is super functional for so many different needs. If she wanted to have many guests over she has a solution for that as well.

Jenna has a projection screen she can hang on her porch for movie nights under the stars.

Jenna believes her staircase really stands out in her tiny home.

“I call it a hidden staircase because a lot of time people come in here and ask me, ‘How do you get up into the loft?’ So it’s my closet, it’s my pantry, and it’s also my staircase,” she explains.

Jenna’s loft is where she and Salies sleep. Jenna is 5″4′ and is able to sit up straight without hitting the roof. So, it is perfect for her and Salies, who has her own dog bed in the loft too. Jenna has a window in her loft that lets her escape to the roof whenever she wants.

She can sit or lay on the roof to watch the beautiful night sky.

Jenna knew she wanted more out of her life and created her own version of happiness. She know is paid to blog about her travels and tiny home living. Her ability to downsize has also let her pay off her student loans completely. It might not be the “traditional” avenue of living but like her tiny home states,
