Moving out of our homes means renting an apartment or buying a new lot that we can call our own. Checking the place is part of the process of looking for a new home. So, if you do plan on moving to big cities like New York, you’re expecting a majestic and huge space. This is actually not the case.

This New York City apartment costs $1,650 per month and 20 million people are enraged upon seeing it.

When you’re renting a place for more than $1,000, you expect it to be as huge as a one-bedroom room. It must have a kitchen, a bathroom, a good bedroom space, and a living room. You don’t expect to live in a cramped space that can only fit your wardrobe.

Unfortunately, this New York City apartment is far from your dream home.

The co-founders of the New York City Realtor TikTok account shared these videos where they toured the “Worst Apartment Ever” in NYC. The apartment costs more than $1000 and it’s extremely tiny. Seeing them tour the apartment made everyone feel bad about the renters.

Cameron Knowlton and Tatum Kelly are the co-founders of The New York City Realtor TikTok account. In one of their videos, they toured a New York City apartment which is so tiny that Harry Potter’s cupboard under the stairs is bigger.

Stepping inside the apartment, everyone was shocked at how small it was.

If you’re just like us you may be asking, “Is this it?” Sadly, it is. The apartment is small and expensive. Plus, it doesn’t have a bathroom!

Considering that the apartment is situated in the most desired neighborhood in New York, you will definitely feel frustrated at the situation.

It doesn’t have an oven, no stove, and no fridge. How are you going to cook your meals? Plus, there’s only one closet.

Do you need to use the bathroom?

Well, you have to leave your apartment and share the toilet with your neighbors. Now that is fun. What if you want to use the toilet in the middle of the night and someone was using it? That can truly be a problem.

It’s no secret that New York is one of the most expensive cities in the world and the tenants who live in the building should have at least 40,000 a month, but will you take an apartment that lacks all your basic requirements? Due to this, the initial video got over a whopping 2.6 million likes, was reshared 113.9k times, and got more than 41.2k comments on TikTok.

“This apartment is very inexpensive for NY. However, it is ‘The Worst Apartment’ because it’s not a good deal compared to other options in the city that are just a couple hundred more,” the co-founders of the New York City Realtor TikTok account said.

Most New York apartments are smaller than the rest in the US, but this one is the smallest one from what Cameron and Tatum have ever seen.

“The location is the main reason the apartment is priced as expensive as it is, given the size. NY is a densely populated city with incredibly high demand.”

In defense, the apartment does look clean and tidy. But, let’s be honest. If you are going to pay $1,650 dollars a month, you might as well pick an apartment that will give you the best comfort.

Look for an apartment that has everything you need.

It must have a kitchen, bathroom, bed, and a closet. You need a place where you can relax after a long day. So, pick an apartment where you have room to breathe and relax.
