But, have you ever considered using it for DIY projects around the house instead of just cooling your cookies and cakes on it?

Well, Hometalk, a popular YouTube channel with more than half a million subscribers, has recently posted a video about organizational ideas using dollar store cooling racks and it has gone viral amassing more than 1.5 million views.

Read below how you can make good use of your cooling racks, without even needing to turn on the oven first!

1. Organize your Tupperware lids

For this one, you’ll only need a cooling rack and a dollar-store bin.

Place the cooling rack inside the bin and here you have it.

The perfect organizer for your Tupperware lids.

2. Spices organizer

You know how annoying it can be to search inside your cupboards for spice containers.

They can be small and hidden behind larger containers, making it difficult for you to find when you need them.

Organize them easily by using just a cooling rack which you have bent using some pliers.

Hang it on the wall and neatly place your spice containers on it.

3. Keep notes

No need to put up post-its on your fridge anymore.

Now, you can make a note board using a dollar store cooling rack and a chalkboard.

Stick the chalkboard on your cooling rack and hang it on the wall.

You can hang S-hooks at the bottom of the rack, too, so you can organize your keys.

What is so cool about this hack is that you can either write notes on the board or put them up using magnets.

4. Mug holder

If you are a mug-lover and you have dozens of them, then you know there’s never enough room in the cupboards for them.

So, you can use a cooling rack and four command hooks to stick it at the bottom of a cabinet.

Then, hang S-hooks on the cooling rack and your mug holder is ready.

For this one, you just need to make sure you use industrial-made Command hooks to hold the weight of the mugs.

5. Versatile organizer

Okay, you’ve organized your mugs, your notes, and even your Tupperware lids, but what about smaller items that you never know where to store?

You can put them all in this super versatile organizer.

You’ll just need a cooling rack and a few pencil holders.

Attach them to the cooling rack using some clips, and then put anything you want in there- from pencils to make-up tools.

6. Organize kitchen utensils

This is probably the easiest DIY project you’ll ever do and by far the most versatile one.

Just hang a cooling rack on the wall sideways, using command hooks.

You can organize your kitchen utensils there, but you can also use it in other rooms of the house to organize scarves or anything, really.
