Coca-Cola has been one of America’s favorite sugary soft drinks since Atlanta pharmacist Dr. John S. Pemberton created it to be sold at soda fountains in 1886.

But it’s not only good for quenching your thirst! There are lots of ways you can use Coke in your kitchen that doesn’t involve drinking it. You can both cook and clean with this wonder cola, as well as some other pretty neat stuff.

Clean Burnt Pots and Pans

If you’ve burnt your pots and pans you can pour some Coke on them and let the soda sit for a few minutes. That blackened grime will come right up allowing you to easily scrub them clean and shiny again.

Stove Filters

Pour a liter of Coke over your greasy stove filter and let it soak in the soda for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, scrub your filter and rinse it off. It will come out looking brand new.

Unscrew the cap on a bottle of Coke and screw in a spray bottle top or just pour your Coke into a spray bottle. Generously spray your dirty tile grout with the soda then wipe your tiles down. The Coke will clean and whiten your tiles and grout.
