Have you ever dreamed of having a cozy and inviting cottage by the beach? Well, if you can’t afford to buy your own, you can at least stay in one for a weekend. This adorable cottage is available for rent through Mermaid Cottages.
The 900-square-foot, colorful Fish Camp Cottage is located on Tybee Island near Savannah, Georgia.
Painted a bright blue and yellow, this cute cottage was originally built in 1924 but was recently restored by Jane Coslick. The home’s bold and vivid exterior color theme is amazing – and it only continues on the inside.
The living room is quaint but cozy.
Kick back and relax on the comfy denim sofa or take a seat in the eclectic mismatched armchairs in the corner. The humble living room is perfect for watching a movie after a long day of playing on the beach.
The kitchen is bright, cheery, and full of color.
Walking into the kitchen, your mood is instantly boosted by all of the bright and fun colors. The room features a white and yellow checkered floor, blue and white cabinets, a canary yellow built-in shelf, and a white dining table with firetruck red accents.
Another view of the kitchen shows off the home’s washer and dryer.
On the opposite side of the kitchen is the washer and dryer, as well as additional counter space and cabinets for storage. This kitchen has plenty of space to cook and enjoy large family meals.
The master bedroom has a fun, beachy vibe.
Although the room is narrow, the white walls and tall ceilings make the room feel open and spacious. The decor in the room was kept simple and beach-themed. The blue is a beautiful contrast to the stark white wood paneling. Glass doors open up to the garden and let in a nice breeze.
Another view of the master bedroom shows the unique layout of the room, as well as the entrance to the master’s half bathroom.
The master bedroom is located behind a sheer curtain just off the living room. Near the steps is the door to the half bathroom which also boasts a nautical theme.
The second bedroom takes on a different color and pattern theme.
This guest bedroom features a cheery, flip-flop comforter on the queen-size bed and stripes on the chair and curtains. The tall, somewhat arched, ceilings add an interesting element to the space.
The sunroom serves as the cottage’s third bedroom.
This bedroom has a child-like feel and features a twin bed with trundle. This room isn’t only great for kids, a chaise lounge is a great spot to post up with a book and enjoy all of the natural light that comes flooding in the room.
The full bathroom is all white with deep blue accents.
This spacious bathroom boasts a shower and tub with subway tile, toilet, and sink with vanity. Lots of space for a family to share.
A screened porch features a bistro, reading area, and desk.
Imagine drinking your morning coffee or having lunch on this beautiful enclosed patio. The nautical theme continues here with a fishing net with buoys used as the screen, and fish decor on the wall.
A beach cottage wouldn’t be complete without an outdoor shower.
Located just off the second bedroom is this awesome outdoor shower. You can rinse off all the sand from playing on the beach while breathing in that crisp, salty ocean air.
If you prefer to hang out outside, chill out under the gazebo.
The bright blue gazebo has white and yellow drapes with matching yellow chairs and table. The gazebo is also strung with lights for a magical feel at night.
