The internet did it again! This time, people are sharing their homehack ideas by giving a simple bowl different purposes other than just being mere kitchenware.

Here are 10 witty ideas that will turn your bowls into beautifully crafted home decor.

Bowl Cloche

How to do it?

Begin by buying a glass bowl from the dollar store or could be an old glass bowl that you already have. Place it upside down on a wooden round and surround the base of the bowl with wood beads, which can be found in strings at the dollar store as well.

Apply a bead of glue around the bowl and attach the beads, ensuring the glue is completely dry before removing the bowl from the center. Next, procure a smaller bowl from Dollar Tree and position it at the bottom of the wood round to form a pedestal.

Then after that, obtain a larger wood bead and fill any holes with air-dried clay to create a solid round ball. Once dry, spray paint the wood bead. After ensuring everything is dry, glue the larger bead to the bottom of the glass bowl. Finally, place the glass bowl, now with the larger bead attached, onto the pedestal created earlier.

Faux Rock Pipe Coverup

How to do it?

Start by getting a bowl and ensuring it fits your needs. Then, head to a hardware store to acquire some spray foam.

Now, place the bowl in a garbage bag and proceed to cover it entirely with the spray foam, layer by layer. It may take about three cans to achieve the desired coverage. Allow each layer to dry slightly before applying the next, ensuring it’s dry to the touch before proceeding.

After letting it set for about 24 hours, carve and shape the foam to your desired form. Prepare a bucket of water and mix cement to a consistency that allows you to shape it like clay and apply this cement mixture over the foam, smoothing it out as you go.

For the second layer, you may opt for a slightly runnier mixture for easier application. Smooth out any rough spots with a chip brush dipped in water. Once dry, add color to the rock by watering down black paint and applying it to the surface. Additionally, you can mix in some brown paint for added texture. Finally, conceal any pipes or elements you wish to hide within the rock structure.

Bowl Light Fixtures

How to do it?

Start by getting one or two clear plastic bowls from your local store. Then, use a wood-burning tool to carefully create a hole in the bottom of the bowl.

Next, get a light kit from and thread the socket through the hole you’ve created in the bowl. Ensure that the socket is securely attached, then add a light bulb to complete the assembly.

Floral Pedestal Centerpiece

How to do it?

To begin, head to your local store and gather the necessary materials: a clear plastic bowl, a metal flower vase, a floral foam square, and some faux flowers.

Retrieve a wood candle lid from a used candle and remove the rubber ring from it. Then proceed to spray paint the candle lid, the clear plastic bowl, and the metal flower vase with your chosen color. Utilize a strong adhesive to glue the candle lid to the bottom of the painted metal vase.

After that, attach the painted bowl to the top of the candle lid using the same adhesive. Once assembled, give the entire footed pedestal bowl a light coat of white spray paint. Apply hot glue to the four corners of the square florist foam and affix it to the bottom of the bowl securely.

Next, decorate by inserting pieces of faux greenery in and around the base of the foam. Next, take bunches of faux flowers and insert the separated flowers into the floral foam. If there are any bare spots visible, fill them in with a bit of green moss for a finishing touch.

Glass Bowl Lanterns

How to do it?

Begin by getting some colorful bowls of your choice. Turn one of the bowls upside down, use a heat tool to press down on it, and just repeat this process for a few more bowls.

Use one of the blue bowls and one of the clear ones to begin assembly, apply Gorilla Clear Grip adhesive to the designated areas, and allow it to set properly. Ensure precise alignment during this step. Add another blue bowl on top and let it sit securely.

Take note of any visible battery packs at the base and use ivy or similar material to disguise them. Additionally, consider adding white poppies or other decorative elements for further embellishment.

3-Wick Candle Bowl

How to do it?

Of course, grab some bowls, and to start, the goal is to glue them base to base. Use E6000 adhesive or any adhesive that you have available along with a hot glue gun for this task.

Apply chalk paint, specifically honeycomb Folk Art craft paint, mixed with baking soda to create a textured finish on the bowl.

Next, use stone-colored textured finish paint for added effect and get approximately four candles, melt them, and remove the wicks. Place the wicks where desired inside the bowls and secure them in place using skewers.

Fill the bowls with the melted wax, opting for scented lavender for added fragrance.

Beaded Planter

How to do it?

Start by drilling a hole for drainage in the center of the bowl. Use a larger drill bit to widen the hole if necessary.

Next, apply a bonding agent to the surface of the bowl above the drilled hole using a junk brush. Begin attaching strands of beads one at a time, trimming off any excess beads as needed.

Repeat this process until the desired coverage is achieved. Once the stone texture is applied, proceed to spray paint the bowl with black spray paint for a finishing touch.

Lamp Stand

How to do it?

To begin, gather seven bowls and E6000 adhesive, apply the adhesive around the rim of one bowl, and stack another bowl on top. Repeat this process, allowing time for each layer to cure.

Once all bowls are stacked, apply E6000 adhesive to the top of the stack and place another bowl on top. Repeat this step for additional layers as desired.

Next, use Dixie Bell vintage duck egg chalk paint to paint the stacked bowls, allowing the paint to dry completely. Trace around the inside of the hole created in the top bowl, ensuring only the sides and top are painted, not the underside.

Begin assembling the solar light by starting with the bottom part and tilting it up. Place a solar light over the hole in the top bowl and nestle the top part of the solar light into place. Allow everything to be set securely.

Outdoor Lamps

How to do it?

Start by gathering some solar lights. Flip the bowl upside down to remove any attached labels. Focus on preparing the solar lights by removing their stems, as they won’t be needed for this project.

Open up each solar light and ensure the tag is pulled out to activate it. Once done, reassemble the solar lights, and they are ready for use as the base of the project. For added weight, use Dollar Store rocks and place them inside the bowl.

Next, place the solar lights on top of the rocks. If necessary, add more rocks for stability. Apply a small dab of hot glue on each corner of the bowl’s rim. Flip another bowl upside down and carefully place it on top of the solar lights, ensuring it is centered.

This setup allows for easy replacement of the solar lights in the future if needed.

Pendant Light

How to do it?

Begin by heading to Dollar Tree and buying one large plastic bowl. Then, use a pallet knife and drywall spackle to apply the spackle to the exterior of the bowl. Create a hole in the bottom of the bowl, sized to accommodate a light socket.

Finish spackling around the hole, ensuring a smooth surface, apply Dixie Bell’s slick, and stick to the inside of the bowl using a paintbrush. Next, use Modern Masters metallic gold paint to apply at least two layers to the exterior of the bowl. Once the paint is dry, sand the surface of the spackled exterior to achieve a smooth finish.

Apply Rub Buff to the surface of the bowl’s interior. Obtain a hanging light kit from Amazon and install it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Finally, add a light bulb of your choice to complete the project.
