Some of us dream of living in a fantasy home, while others live that dream. It’s crazy to think that some people out there are living life like an elf in the woods, but it’s true.

When you’ve got time, budget, and imagination, you can make some pretty incredible living spaces that look straight out of a storybook.

Suzanne’s forest house looks like the places in which elves in storybooks live. And it’s rentable as a vacation home.

But what kind of mastermind designer could make such a place?

Well, that would be SunRay Kelley.

He’s an incredible, well-established home designer who makes gorgeous, fairy-tale-inspired homes.

Many of SunRay Kelley’s homes would fit in The Lord Of The Rings.

One look at these homes, and you could easily picture Tom Bombadil and some hobbits spending the night in one.

This house has been around for a while too. Suzanne bought it in 2002 and has taken care of it since.

It captivated her from day 1 and she never wanted to give it up.

One of her favorite things to do in it, she says, is to sit in the tub with the water up to her neck.

The house is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.

Its wooden walls and floors are handcrafted from the best wood, and you can tell just by looking.

According to Suzanne, even the guests can feel the love and care that went into it just from being near its walls. I believe her.

The living room is a prime example of the magic oozing from the house.

It’s a 12-sided room. That’s 3 times more sides than a standard room.

Suzanne furnished this room with shelves of books. You know, in case you want to feel like a scholarly wizard reading away deep in the woods.

The shape of the windows solidifies the look too. They’re pointed arches which are staples in fantasy castles and homes.

If that’s not enough, there’s a skylight up on top too to let the gorgeous sun in.

This home is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to stay in, and I mean that. You can’t get here without a ferry trip to Orcas Island first. It’s a fantastic getaway idea, but it’s not cheap.

The kitchen is a magical place too thanks to Suzanne’s furnishing and planning.

After all, behind every nice home are some people who worked hard to get it to look like that.

Outside, 3 different units are connected to the main deck.

It looks phenomenal and makes you feel like you might hear elves singing at any moment.

The-six sided bedroom boasts a view like you’ve never seen before. Outside the glass windows and doors are the balcony and a gorgeous view of the treetops. Something about being so high up in the trees feels enchanting, doesn’t it?

That’s not all. There’s a tower bedroom on top of the main one, and it has that same enchanting view of the treetops.

Fancy spending a night or two here if you can afford it? You might just find a wood elf or two while you’re here.
