Have you ever fantasized about embarking on an endless journey, with the freedom to roam wherever and whenever?

For Anna and Jeff, along with their five kids, this fantasy became a thrilling project.

They transformed an old school bus into a snug, roaming abode, proving that home is truly where you park it.

This adventurous family of seven now enjoys the comforts of a traditional home, such as a kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and even a workspace for Jeff, the family’s tech wizard, all on four wheels.

Step inside, and you’re greeted by a kitchen that’s the heart of their mobile home.

It’s equipped with a washer-dryer combo, a large sink from Ikea that’s also served as an impromptu bathtub for the kids, and a 24-inch propane stove perfect for cooking up family meals.

The kitchen’s charm is amplified by butcher block countertops and custom cabinets, offering ample storage for a family on the go.

Their commitment to a cozy and functional living space is evident in every corner.

The bus features a 120-volt fridge to keep their meals fresh, and its design has evolved through two renovation phases.

These updates, based on their experiences on the road, include additional cabinet doors for pantry space and a repositioned entry door to optimize the interior layout.

Jeff’s workspace is a marvel of efficiency, featuring a fold-down desk in the emergency exit area.

This setup not only provides him a tranquil spot for his software design work but also ensures the emergency exit remains accessible.

Plus, their Starlink router guarantees they’re always connected, no matter their location.

The roots of Anna and Jeff’s wanderlust trace back to their childhoods, filled with road trips and escapes to the beach.

These early adventures ignited a passion for travel they yearned to pass on to their children.

Their bus, acquired for $4,000 and revamped with about $46,000 in renovations, became the vessel for their dream.

Beyond serving as a home, the bus doubles as a classroom.

Anna homeschools the kids, tailoring lessons to their interests and the world around them.

The children’s involvement in the bus’s transformation, from tearing out seats to building walls, provided invaluable hands-on learning experiences.

Each child has their own bunk, plus a shared loft space.

It adds a playful element to their mobile home that the kids love.

This thoughtful addition shows the couple’s dedication to creating a space that not only accommodates their large family but also enriches their lives.

The bus doesn’t skimp on amenities.

It features a bathroom with a composting toilet and a full ceramic tile shower, boasting a nine-foot ceiling.

The master bedroom is a cozy retreat with a king-size bed and hidden storage, while the bus’s original rearview mirror adds a touch of nostalgia to the bathroom.
