YouTuber Laura Birek is one helluva DIYer. Rather than do your traditional DIY projects, she decides to take it up another level. This time, she’s creating something that’s perfect for the winter weather. She calls her design the “Giganto-Blanket” and it is perfectly fitting.

Using two large PVC pipes, she crochets a giant blanket. It’s both warm, cozy, and huge. She uses unspun wool roving for the project, and she demonstrates just how easy it is to do (for her at least).

To get started, you need the following items:

  • 2 1-and-a-half-inch PVC pipes
  • Unspun wool roving

Though the PVC pipes are hard to work with at first, they are quite light and over time you will get used to it. Watching her knit and crochet her blanket is really stunning. I can’t imagine crocheting with two PVC pipes at all!

Please SHARE this very unique DIY project with your friends and family.
