Coca-Cola is more than just a delicious beverage, there are also plenty of ways it can help you with daily tasks.

In addition to being one of the most popular drinks in the world, Coca-Cola can also be used in a number of innovative ways in the kitchen, making life easier. Best of all, you can drink any leftovers when you are done.

1) Use Coca-Cola to get rid of grease on your stove filter.

If you find your stove filter has become too greasy, take it out and place it in a pan at least a few inches deep. Pour Coca-Cola over the filter so it is completely covered (hence the deep pan), and let it sit for 20 minutes. Now, take a scrub brush and the grease will come off with minimal elbow grease. Rinse the filter off with water, and it should look as good as new.

2) Coca-Cola can also get rid of the grime stuck between tiles on your kitchen walls.

This kitchen hack couldn’t be any easier. If you buy a bottle of Coca-Cola of the right size, you can just screw off the regular top and replace it with the top of a spray bottle. Otherwise, pour some Coke into any regular spray bottle you have handy.

Apply the soda directly onto your tile wall, then wipe it off using a kitchen towel. The grime caked between the tiles and over the grout will just disappear, coming right off. You should rinse off the tiles afterward so they aren’t sticky and don’t smell like soda.

3) Coca-Cola kitchen hacks aren’t just limited to cleaning; it can also take baking to another level.

If you feel like doing something a bit different with those cake mixes you have lying around your kitchen, blend them with some Coca-Cola. Just dump the two together and whisk them so they are thoroughly combined. Pour this directly into your (greased) cake pan. Bake it and you have a delicious cake without any need for water, oil, eggs, or anything else listed on the cake mix box. Best of all, this cake will be incredibly moist.

4) If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, try this recipe involving Coca-Cola.

Pour a can of regular Coca-Cola into a large bowl, adding some brown sugar, soy sauce, and lemon juice, plus whole garlic cloves. The unusual combination is a truly delicious marinade for chicken, particularly wings. Coat the meat thoroughly with the marinade, then lay it out on a wire rack in your oven. Let the wings bake, and you will have a delicious snack, perfect for your next party.

5) Use an empty Coca-Cola bottle to upgrade your soap dispenser.

Instead of using a cheap, plastic soap dispenser by your kitchen sink, either for hand soap or dish soap, upgrade it with an empty Coke bottle. This works best with the classic glass bottles since they are nice and durable, plus easy to clean. Use the Coca-Cola within the bottle for one of the other hacks, or just drink it.

When the bottle is empty, rinse it out, and use a funnel to fill it with your dish soap of choice. See if the pump nozzle from your grungy old plastic soap dispenser fits the top, which it very well might. If not, just find another one that works. Now you have a stylish soap dispenser that is easy to clean and lasts longer than plastic ones. Save money in the future by buying soap refills instead of smaller containers with pumps.
