Hair is one of your most striking and unique features. A beautiful mane of thick, luxurious hair can set you apart from a crowd. All of us lose some hair in the course of our day, especially during brushing or combing. In fact, the average person loses around 60 to 100 hair strands per day. If you are losing more than the average person, or start to notice that your hair is visibly thinning, this hair mask can save the day.

This hair mask has four simple, cheap, and nutrient-rich ingredients: Eggs, Banana, Honey, and beer (preferably dark beer). Let’s examine each component and what it can do for thinning hair.

Eggs protect your hair from day-to-day damage by strengthening hair follicles. They also prevent and treat dandruff. Eggs are an important source of amino acids, proteins, and lecithin, which all work to strengthen hair strands. Eggs also contain biotin, which gives more strength and stability to the roots of your hair.

Bananas

Bananas are packed full of vitamins and oils that promote elasticity and make your hair shiny and beautiful. Banana hair masks are great for preventing split ends. The potassium in bananas fight against hair loss and help to moisturize, strengthen, and revive dry and damaged hair.

Honey

Honey fights against hair loss, prevents dandruff and helps to maintain a healthy scalp. Honey is a natural emollient, which means that it locks in moisture into hair follicles, keeping your hair conditioned and healthy, preventing damage and promoting growth.

Beer

The yeast, malt, hops, and vitamins present in beer are great for hair growth and for rebuilding and repairing damaged hair. Leftover beer can also be used as a rinse after shampooing and conditioning hair to add volume and shine to your luscious locks.

Directions for Hair Mask

Combine one egg, one banana, one tablespoon of honey and a half a cup of beer in a blender and mix thoroughly. After shampooing your hair to remove dirt and excess oils, apply the hair mask and massage it into your hair and scalp. Leave the mixture in and cover your head with either a shower cap or a wrapped up towel. Let the hair mask work its magic for 1 to 2 hours before rinsing thoroughly. Repeat this practice once per week for best results.
