Here's how to remove age spots from your skin with apple cider vinegar
Spencer Carney

Age spots, the bane of sun worshipers existence in their older age. Indeed, age spots are often associated more with “age” then the cause of them, which is increased exposure to the rays of the sun over many years. Therefore, a younger person could also experience them if they were an over-frequent user of the tanning beds, for example.

Typically it is those with fairer skin who experience age spots more often in life as their skin is more vulnerable to the sun’s rays, but today we are going to go over a natural method to kick those age spots out of your life once and for all!

If you understand how one obtains a tan then you are 90% of the way to understanding age spots!

When UV-B rays hit our skin, our skins cells initiate the production of a pigment called melanin in the affected area! This darkening of the skin via the production of melanin is a way our skin protects itself from the sun (a standard tan), however some people with fairer skin are not able to produce melanin fast enough which leads to sun damage, burns, etc.

Age spots are essentially your skin remembering that it was damaged in an area a long time ago; so later in life some cells produce an excessive amount of melanin in “random spots” (i.e the spots you were damaged in). These spots can appear to be tan, brown, or black and are flat to the skin. If your age spots have an irregular border, have a mix of unusual colors, and or they are bothering you it is best that you get it checked out by a doctor as it could be a sign of a more serious condition such as a malignant melanoma.

The natural remedy to removing age spots is two skin healing foods: Onion and Apple Cider Vinegar!

I have been writing a lot about apple cider vinegar as of late as it has so many health benefits and it Is great for your skin! Apple cider vinegar contains alpha hydroxy acids that actually remove dead skin cells revealing the newer skin underneath, which makes it perfect for revitalizing your skin that has age spots as age spots are long-term skin damage, therefore bringing out your skins turn-over rate is a great way to combat them!

Not many would suspect Onion, but they pack a punch in the anti-inflammatory department which means that it will help the damaged skin in those spots begin to recover instead of being in an irritated state.
