December 18th, 2018

Developers are catching on to the tiny house trend and creating small little units out in nature where people can get away from the daily grind for a relaxing weekend.

But these tiny homes don’t skimp on luxury.

Especially this one that overlooks the Northern Lights in Iceland.

The Northern Lights, or the Aurora Borealis, is one of the most exquisite natural displays the Earth has to offer.

It’s one of Iceland’s most popular attractions.

The Icelandic skies will light up with a rainbow of color when the night falls during the wintertime.

And this tiny home allows you to view the Northern Lights without stepping out of the front door.

It’s located about 30 minutes from Reykjavik.

The home has a panoramic view thanks to the house’s glass walls.

And the views are absolutely breathtaking.

You can see the mountains, a volcano, and the ocean (which has whales swimming in it), in addition to the gorgeous view of the Northern Lights.

Though the home is in the middle of nature, it has loads of modern amenities.

The large bed is right under a glass window roof so you can look at the Northern Lights right from your bed.

Behind the bed is a sitting table for two.

There’s also a full kitchen. It houses a tiny refrigerator, coffee station, sink, countertop space for food prep, a stove, and some cabinets.

There’s also some dressers and other storage space.

The bathroom is equally impressive.

It houses a large mirror, basin sink, toilet, and glass-encased rainforest shower.

There’s also a small deck outside of the home.

It has a small table and chairs where you can enjoy the view.

Now a night in this beautiful tiny home will cost you but it’s totally worth it.

A night in the Panorama Glass Lodge will run you about $484 per night.

“The Glass Lodge is a unique lodge in Iceland at Hvalfjörður, right by the sea and only 30 minutes drive away from Reykjavík. You sleep in a glass house igloo with an amazing panorama view, where you want to get the best view of the northern lights,” their website states.

“It is so wonderful to enjoy the amazing midnight sun during summertime. If you are lucky you can spot some sunbathing seals or even whales in the fjord from the beach during summer. The lodge is located in a remote area and provides full privacy and is perfect for your honeymoon or just an adventure trip.”
