Joshua Tree is one of the most-loved national parks in America. It’s known for its dreamy desert landscapes and rugged rock formations, making it the perfect vacation escape.

Every year, Instagram influencers flock to Joshua Tree in preparation for Coachella festival, which is located just a 30-mile drive away.

Forward-thinking entrepreneurs have spotted a chance to make some major money renting out vacation homes in the region. You only have to check out sites like Airbnb to find a whole host of beautiful homes available to stay at.

Take Rob, the owner of a 300 square foot tiny Airbnb home in the heart of the Californian desert.

From the outside, Rob’s home is modern and attractive, sitting at the end of a pebbled drive with a white and mahogany wood exterior and a little cactus garden framing the front door.

There’s a carport that keeps cars out of the shade, which doubles up as a patio area for eating and relaxing outside.

Walking into the tiny house, you’ll notice that it feels a lot larger than the majority of tiny homes on the market.

It’s only 300 square feet, but clever design features, like the high ceilings and abundance of windows, give it a cool, airy feel.

The living area is beautifully decorated, with a couch that pulls out into a bed, a color-pop dining table and chairs, and rabbit-print wallpaper.

Moving into the kitchen, food-lovers will be happy to know that it’s full-sized, and has all the cooking essentials.

A running theme across this home is the printed tiles, which gives the whole place a unique quirkiness.

There’s plenty of marble countertop space for meal prep, a huge sink, and a full-sized fridge and freezer for storage.

Again, the bathroom is very large for a tiny house, with a similar attractive printed tile floor and wall feature.

It’s modern and basic, with a black-and-white theme, with a floating wood vanity, a good-sized sink, and a shower-tub combo.

Up a short flight of stairs is the home’s master bedroom, which takes up the entire top floor space.

There are several interesting design quirks here, including a mustard vanity with a matching mirror and chair.

It’s a great way to make use of minimal space, as we’ve seen with features throughout this tiny home – but there’s no compromising on bed size! There’s also a full-size closet for storing luggage.

One of the best features of this tiny home so far is the outdoor balcony space, which you can access from a door in the bedroom.

The 79 square foot patio is a great space to relax and take in the desert views, especially when the sun rises and sets.

There’s a fairly large backyard behind the tiny home, which is nice to have, as the majority of tiny homes have very little land in comparison.

You can access the home’s washer and dryer in a small outhouse, which is built from the same mahogany wood as the front of the house.

There’s clearly a lot going for this tiny house, and it’s not just it’s ideal Joshua Tree location.
