It really doesn’t take much to bring some special pieces or organization into your home. A few bucks, some inspiration, and a little creativity can go a very long way.

You’d spend hundreds or even thousands if you custom order pieces of furniture to perfectly fit your space. But you can make your very own furniture that is sized and colors to fit in perfectly with your existing space and decor.

And you don’t have to be a carpenter!

A great way to add some DIY accents to your home is by using plastic crates. They’re stackable colorful and super inexpensive. And there are so many different things you can do with them. And you can get them for like a buck each!

Here are 8 DIY projects using plastic creates:

1) Closet

This awesome portable crate closet COULD NOT be cuter. They are spraypainted in a rose gold, glued together, zip tied and stacked. The top row uses hinges, picture frames, and some chicken wire. 2) Floating Shelves

Place them in the shape of your choosing and affix them to the wall with a screw gun to create these cool floating shelves. You can even spray paint them a cool color.

3) Rolling Bookshelf

These crates were glued to a dolly to create this super cool rolling bookshelf.

4) Bench

Glue some crates together and top off with a cushion to make this mini portable bench with storage.

8) Bathroom Shelf

This bathroom shelf was made from crates and picture frames and has a toilet paper roll holder and hooks to hang things like loofahs. It has enough room to hold your towels, brushes, and more. Most of this was constructed from items found at the dollar store.
