It’s always fun to see a tour of a tiny house. People who live in tiny houses love discussing what it’s like to live in one.

But sometimes, some ‘tour guides’ focus only on the positives, without discussing any of the negatives of their new lifestyle.

Well, some people are too honest to turn a blind eye to the downsides their new tiny homes tend to have.

Just like Brandy Beverly, who retired in 2020 and moved into a tiny home.

Brandy had always wanted to live in a smaller house, but she didn’t know how to leave stuff behind. Stuff that she loved and had spent significant amounts of money to buy.

But then she realized that living in a more affordable place.

Most importantly, in a neighborhood where the mentality of the people was in line with hers, was more important than material things.

In the house tour Brandy offers, she gives her honest opinion about the pros and cons of tiny living, while she also shares details of her life, capturing the viewers’ attention.

As the woman explains, she fell in love with her 399 sq ft home right away, from the moment she looked inside from the window.

Brandy begins her tour in the living room where, as she confessed, she spends most of her day. She loves reading books and she even used to have a whole library room in her previous Houston home.

In her tiny new house, she can only dedicate a wall to her books and she’s really trying to cope with that.

One more thing that she had to compromise with when she decided to go tiny was the limited wall space.

You see, her father and brother are both artists, and they actually create large artwork, so having only one wall to really fit their work was really sad for her.

Moving on to the kitchen, Brandy explains that she really wanted countertop space because she loves to cook, as well as drawers and cupboards and that’s why she chose not to have a dishwasher.

She proudly shows her island that can open up into a long table, perfect for entertaining.

As for the kitchen tile, she finds it quite busy, and that’s why she’s been trying to have a minimum decor to balance it.

Moving on to the bathroom, Brandy says that it’s maybe the best-designed room of the house. It actually has two doors so that it’s accessible from both the living room and the bedroom/craft room.

Reflection time, the lady admits that she should have removed one door in order to have more wall space.

One of the rooms Brandy uses the most is the craft room. Being a creative person, she spends time sewing or making fun stuff for craft fairs.

She explains that this room can also become a guest room, but she also points out the fact that when living tiny you can’t entertain or host many people.

It’s obvious that this is something that she misses from her old house.

Bedroom time, up the stairs is Brandy’s cute room, which she has decorated with flawless style just like every other room.

Brandy explains that she loves this lifestyle because she enjoys being around people that share the same ideas, while she also perceives it as an opportunity to reflect on life choices.
