One very uniquely shaped home has everyone doing a double-take.
A home in Deerfield, Illinois is famous due to its interesting shape. It’s called the “Pie House” or “Skinny House” because that’s exactly what it is…skinny and shaped like a pie.
The Skinny Home is world-famous.
The house, built in 2003, is quite famous in the area and has also been featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Chicago Tribune, and countless media around the world according to zillow.com.
It’s even been shared on TikTok where it has enamored and perplexed a whole new generation.
One TikTok user, Eli @cobbbsalad, uploaded a video of the home that went viral. The video shows him outside of the home with the caption, “Skinny house skinny house skinny house.” It definitely shocked viewers and comments flooded in. One person wrote “WHOS IS LIVING THERE? FLAT STANLEY? Another wrote, “Wait how does this work?”

This famous Pie House was recently sold to a new owner.
According to the home’s realtor, Coldwell Banker Realty, the inside is much larger than it appears on the outside. So, it’s really not that skinny after all. It is built on a 3,876-square-foot triangular lot…hence the shape of the house.
