All of us have different perspectives about a relaxing home. Some find it more comfortable to live in a house that’s located in the city. Some people dream of living in a townhome, while there are others who prefer living in a tiny house.

It all depends on what we prefer.

What’s important is we make our vision happen. Just like the craftsman behind this enormous, hand-built treehouse.

Matt of Exploring Alternatives personally went to this place to show us every part of it.

He then met the man who built it, Mike.

The house really looks big and elegant.

And it’s amazing to know that it was built mostly out of reclaimed materials. It’s a 2-story home and it’s situated around 9 hemlock posts.

Mike used salvaged and reclaimed materials yet it still turned out beautifully. The three years that he spent building it were all worth it.

Every part of this house is cozy.

The second floor is a heated space with a comfortable spot where you can sleep.

It also has a living area where you can have some quiet time.

It has enough space for a kitchen.

The kitchen has a dining table with 4 seats and it’s also filled with necessary kitchen appliances. It has a small refrigerator, stove, and mini pantry.

You’ll also find a mini washroom on the same floor.

The first floor is pretty interesting.

It’s because it’s an open area where you can freely stare at the beautiful view around the house. It also has a living area and a minibar.

Who wouldn’t love this bathroom?

The ambiance of the bathroom is comforting. It was Mike and his partner Gen’s original plan to have the bathroom outside the house but when they realized that it could be a hassle during snow, they decided to build it on the first floor.

It has a walk-in shower and a heated floor. The counter, the glass, and the toilet are perfect.

Just like us, lots of people online have expressed their love for the house.

“You weren’t kidding when you wrote “mind blowing”. It is indeed. What a great place to live and isolate yourself from all the mess we are all facing nowadays. Great video and many thanks. I am subscribing,” one viewer said.
Another positive comment that it has received reads:
“Stunning! The amount of pride he has in his work and the amount of care he took in using reclaimed materials is inspiring. Thanks for sharing this beautiful home with us.”

This house is truly beautiful and it looks relaxing even when you would just see it online. So, just imagine how rejuvenating it is to chill here in person. That’s why these people who have already stayed here by booking via Airbnb are truly lucky.
