A 336-square-foot cabin in West Point, Texas truly gives meaning to the old saying “never judge a book by its cover.”

The custom-built cabin might not look like much from the outside, however, it does have a bit of natural charm. Sitting on a sprawling 24-acres, with a 4-acre private lake, the cabin’s real charm lies on the inside.

Built in 2012, the cabin features salvaged wood and a corrugated tin roof. Inside is a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two sleeping lofts.

The main living space features a full kitchen that flows into the living room. Tall vaulted ceilings give a peek up to one of the sleeping lofts.

Leather furniture and an animal rug give the cabin a truly rustic feel. The wood interior compliments the scheme.

Looking back toward the kitchen, the ‘hunting lodge’ theme continues. Two mounted deer heads lead the way up to the second sleeping loft. A small folding table provides extra eating space.

Getting a closer look at the loft ladder in the kitchen, you can see that it doubles as shelving and extra storage.

One of the two sleeping lofts is large enough to sleep two. A small window looks out to the surrounding lakeside scene.

Back downstairs, the bathroom is tucked away behind the kitchen.

Head down to the outdoor dining area near the lake for summer evening barbecues with friends and family.

Imagine all of the memories made sitting around the outdoor covered dining table. The tiny open-plan lake house is perfect for entertaining.

Sunbathe on the dock or take a swim in the 4-acre private lake.

This unassuming cabin retreat was just swooped off the market. The lucky homeowners are sure to have many evenings of watching beautiful sunsets.
