For Marie Beringer, a pole instructor, female carpenter apprentice, and woodwork teacher, building a tiny home is passion, hard work, eagerness for learning, and a lot of options.

Five years ago, Marie watched a man build his own tiny house, then she became interested and intrigued.

Soon, she became a fan of tiny homes, and when you are talking about tiny homes, we know that Bryce Langston is a name known to many in this field.

After studying and careful planning, Marie built her own tiny home.

From being a lab environmental technician, Marie ventured into a carpentry apprenticeship, and she couldn’t believe it!

She enjoyed every process of learning, building, and seeing what she could accomplish.

She also met two other women who became her friends. They would set up woodworking dates and start minor projects.

Marie’s two friends became cabinet makers, and she became a carpenter.

Her tiny house measures 10x16ft, and her mission is to be self-sufficient but also to have lots of options.

Aside from her beautiful tiny house, she also has her own grey water system where she recycles water from her shower and sink.

The water enters a filtering system and the end product can be used for her garden and orchard.

Marie also has a digester.

She also has 3 solar panels and two batteries for energy, but hers is a hybrid inverter.

This means she could plug into the grid when she’s short on power.

Her home can also collect rainwater.

How outstanding is that?

Can you imagine such a young woman achieving such an amazing setup for her home?

Inside Marie’s tiny home, you’ll first notice a beautiful palette wall and a round window.

There’s also a green wall where you’ll see a collection of healthy plants.

What we love about her home is that she has all the amenities of a home packed in a small space.

Her bed, for example, looks like a U-shaped couch, but if you remove the table and insert a center box, then you have a big comfy bed.

She can do her work on her bed, watch from her projector and just be a couch potato, but when she wants to work elsewhere, there’s a small desk space in her room.

Again, this is what she’s proud of.

Even in a tiny home, she has so many options.

Oh! Under her bed is a huge storage where she can put her comforter, clothes, blankets, pillows, etc.

Her kitchen is quite spacious as well. She has a small fridge, a gas stove, and an induction cooker.

Bryce was in awe when he saw her full-size bathroom with a planter box, cool lighting, and a shower. Outside, she has a composting toilet and a hot tub.

Marie has been living off-grid for over two years now and she said she spent around 44-45K on her home.
