Change in life is constant. That is why we always need to be ready to adapt to these unexpected changes.
Bryce Langston, the host of Living Big In A Tiny House, was reunited with Shaye, a friend he met about nine years ago.
The host featured Shaye and Tom’s green tiny house before.
Together, Tom and Shaye had a daughter they named Hazel, or Haze for short. Unfortunately, they parted ways, and for Shaye, it was a sudden change she didn’t expect.
Now a mother, Shaye decided to go back to a regular home, and for a couple of years, she rented a house. But she felt that they didn’t belong there.
That is why she created the new tiny house that she now calls home.
The mom and daughter have been living in this beautiful house for eight months now, and they are very happy with their decision.
Shaye, after building the green tiny home felt that she wanted to do more, so she decided to design small houses and started a business called Shaye’s Tiny Homes.
This skill came in very handy when it was her time to build her own home.
The full-time mother, business owner, and professional diver have her hands full, but she is loving her life now.
She admitted that change was hard at first, but now that she’s stable, she’s really happy.
Her tiny home is 4x9x28 ft. and is still very easy to transport, in any event, that she decides to move.
At first glance, you’ll appreciate her beautiful porch and you’d notice her cedar and ironclad combo home.
She also had plenty of space for her plants, a living roof, and a newly installed outdoor tub.
Upon entering her home, Bryce noticed her very stunning green wall.
Their spacious lounge area has a bi-folding door that you can open, especially during summer. They have a big couch and a projector that they can use to watch a movie.
On the left side of the house is her equally spacious kitchen, with a timber sink, and a river table. You wouldn’t feel like you’re in a tiny house because she has a full-size stove, fridge, and microwave as well.
Storage isn’t going to be an issue in Shaye’s tiny home because she still has plenty of cupboards empty.
On the right side of the tiny house is a spare room.
You will also find the bathroom in this area, and upon entering, you’d appreciate the big window which lets the natural light in. They also have a double vanity and a roll-out composting toilet.
How cool is that?
They also have a 900 x 900 shower area.
As you go upstairs, you’ll find Hazel’s room on the right side, where there is a cute bed, a small desk, and storage for her tiny pony collection.
There’s a walkway connecting their two rooms.
Checking out Shaye’s room, you’ll notice the big mirror, big bed, a bookshelf, and lots of drawers.
Through her window, you’d be able to enjoy the view of the living roof.
She had to spend around 150 grand, not counting the porch and the little room downstairs.
“This house, for me, it’s a place of stability for me and hazy it’s our place, it’s our sanctuary and no matter how life changes, because I’ve seen for myself that life can change unexpectedly, this is our base and it’s ours,” Shaye said.
Truly, the changes in Shaye’s life had thought her to always prepare for the unexpected, and now, she’s happy, and prepared, but always enjoys life.
