The hidden toilet is very clever! I also love how positive she is.

If you are a fan of Bryce Langston, then you know he loves touring tiny houses.

Each one is unique, tiny, and has its own story behind its design, size, and purpose.

Six years ago, Bryce went to Tokyo and met up with a good friend, Emma, an Aussie girl who moved to Japan.

Emma is a fellow YouTuber, and her channel is Tokidoki Traveller.

In her channel, she features her Japan adventures and tours, but for Bryce, Emma’s tiny apartment is the real destination.

Emma welcomed Bryce and told him that in Japan, before you enter anyone’s home, it’s customary to remove your shoes at the genkan, or entrance.

It mesmerized Bryce as he entered Emma’s home. He asked her if it was common to find such tiny houses in Japan, and she said yes.

Japan is indeed known to have really tiny homes. The reason behind this is a combination of different factors.

Tokyo and other highly populated cities in Japan utilize every bit of space possible.

The traditional Japanese aesthetic and philosophy is to maximize the use of the space that is provided to you.

That is why, for students or even small families, a tiny home is just sufficient for them.

Even if they live in tiny houses, it doesn’t mean they don’t live comfortably.

The size of the apartment is 8 sq. meters x 2, and it has a loft and a high ceiling.

Compared to other tiny studio-type houses, this one is a bit more breathable, so that’s what made Emma love the place.

As you enter the house, on your right is a tiny closet. Emma explained that she has to be really picky with her clothes because of the limited space.

On the left side are her microwave and toaster.

Then, as you move a little forward, you’ll have a small table where she works and eats.

On the right side is the bath and toilet.

At first, you won’t see where the toilet is placed since it’s hidden. It’s tiny but good enough for her to use.

Next is her tiny kitchen, a stove, and a sink, and that’s it.

There’s no room for food preparation, but she bought a big cutting board that serves as her workstation.

Then she has a tiny balcony where she places some plants and an adorable hanger for her laundry.

Emma has just enough space for her yoga mat.

That’s right, she could even do yoga in this cute apartment.

Upstairs is her loft bed, and according to Bryce, it looks comforting.

Emma agreed. For her, this little space is cozy and comforting.

She also said she’s delighted with her little space, her tiny house, a home she could call her own.

Bryce also asked Emma about her rent, since Tokyo is an expensive city, to which Emma responded that she pays around $600.
