Enter the hero of our story: garlic powder.

That’s right, the same ingredient that adds a kick to your pasta can send those pesky wasps packing.

One sniff of this potent spice, and they’ll be zooming in the opposite direction.

“Wasps don’t like acidic foods, like cucumber, basil, and garlic, so they tend to fly in the opposite direction when they cross paths with them.”

So, if you’ve ever wondered why your Italian dishes are wasp-free, now you know.

Imagine- it’s a balmy day, just perfect for a picnic. But as you’re setting out the delicious spread, you spot a wasp.

Before they can rally their entire crew, it’s time to whip out your secret weapon.

“Before they have the chance to make an appearance, use garlic powder and water in a spray bottle to spray around your yard. You don’t need a lot of garlic powder; fill up your desired spray bottle with water and add a few teaspoons of garlic inside. Give your backyard a few spritzes, and enjoy your time outside.”

No garlic powder? No problem.

Fresh minced garlic will do the trick. Just toss a clove into your spray bottle, and you’re good to go.

For an added punch, consider adding a few extra cloves or a scoop of garlic powder to a bowl. This will ensure those wasps think twice before crashing your party.

A word of caution: “When you spray the mixture, ensure you avoid spraying the wasps directly to prevent killing them.”

After all, we just want them to buzz off, not meet their maker.

And here’s a bonus tip for all the green thumbs out there: plant some garlic in your garden.

Not only will you have a fresh supply for your kitchen, but it’ll also act as a natural, pet-safe repellent.

So, the next time you see a wasp, just remember- garlic’s got your back.
