A tiny cottage in the countryside of Victoria, Australia came to fruition all because of the dreams of a little girl.

When Suzanne of One Girl Interiors was a little girl, she had always dreamed of having her very own cottage in the country. After years of dreaming, she and her husband made it a reality. They bought and renovated a house and endearingly named it The Weekender.

Located in Daylesford, just outside of Victoria, this incredible cottage is available for guests to rent for a relaxing getaway. The home sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms and has two bathrooms and a fully-functional kitchen.

Inside, it’s literally a designer’s dream come true. Suzanne’s detailed, creative touch can be seen in every corner of the cottage.

The simple living room boasts tall white ceilings, white walls, and neutral colored curtains. Although there isn’t much square footage, this light color scheme is a great way to make the room feel much larger. Large windows allow natural light to come flooding in – the perfect room for relaxing with a book or binging on your favorite Netflix show.

“The kitchen has a large freestanding cooker, perfect for cooking up a feast to share,” it says on The Weekender website.

The beautiful kitchen is sleek and modern. The dark blue walls are a gorgeous contrast against the white wood flooring and white tile backsplash. There are drawers and cabinets for storage, as well as a light-colored wood exposed shelf.

The eat-in kitchen features a large farmhouse table with black cafe-style chairs.

French doors open up to the yard, letting in a nice summer breeze and sunlight. Could you imagine renting this home and enjoying meals in this stunning setting? It’s no wonder Suzanne had dreamt about this since she was a little girl.

Suzanne utilized every bit of space in the cottage without making it feel cluttered or ‘busy.’

“There’s a great library of books and DVDs to enjoy during your stay,” Suzanne offers for her vacation rental. The white walls continue through the home and the living plants bring a bit of nature into the home.

Each bedroom features two super comfy single beds that can be pushed together to create a king-size bed. Perfect for families and groups.

Aside from the one piece of decor, the walls were kept bare. The bedding and pillows offer a pop of color and pattern in the otherwise humbly decorated room.

Another bedroom has subtly patterned wallpaper with a piece of abstract art as the only piece of decor.

Elegant touches like the hanging light fixture, desk lamp, and vase with a bit of greenery really make this cottage feel cozy and homey. In this room, you can see an example of the single beds pulled apart.

Suzanne made sure that each room was simple, but had its own personality and character.

If you’re looking to soak away your stresses, one of the bathrooms features a deep soaking pool.
