“I love cleaning toilets,” said no one ever. Cleaning the toilet is one of the least ‘fun’ chores to do, so, anything to make it easier is a welcomed idea – like these 3 ingredient toilet cleaning bombs.

These homemade toilet cleaning bombs come to us courtesy of Jessica Kielman of the Mom 4 Real blog. They are extremely easy to make, only require three ingredients that you probably already have around your house, and they’ll leave your toilets sparkling!

These toilet cleaning bombs are super easy to make and they’ll help you clean your toilet with little to no effort. Amazing!

Your household chore game is about to change forever.

Ingredients and materials you’ll need for your homemade toilet bombs:

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup citric acid
  • 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap (any brand is fine!)
  • Silicone ice cube tray
  • And airtight container or jar

In a large bowl, add one cup of baking soda. Make sure to have a mat or towel, as things can get a little messy with household crafts.

Next, it’s time to add 1/4 cup of citric acid.

After your dry ingredients have been added, go ahead and add the tablespoon of dish soap. Any dish soap in liquid form will work just fine.

Whisk the three ingredients together with a whisk, spoon, or fork.

Once you’ve got a good mix, use your hand to help mix and mold it into a crumbly, chalky paste.

Mold the 3-ingredient mixture into a silicone ice cube tray using your hands and pressing down with your fingertips.

Wipe away any excess, after all nooks and crannies are filled.

Let your toilet bombs dry and set for at least 4 to 5 hours. Afterward, pop them out of the silicone ice tray and store them in a jar or airtight container.

To clean your toilet, all you need to do is drop in a bomb!
