Your bathroom can be one of the gnarliest places to clean in your house. Between hair all over the place, mold and mildew buildup, and the toilet, things can get pretty gross in there. So, when you go to clean it you’ll want the process to be as thorough as possible.

You probably also want that process to be as easy as possible. Well, here are 10 bathroom cleaning hacks that will make both of those things possible.

Shower Head

Get a plastic sandwich bag and pour about 1 cup of water and 1 cup of vinegar into it and place it over your shower head so that the shower head is submerged in the solution. Secure it with a rubber band and let it sit for 30 minutes. When time is up, rinse run your shower with some hot water.

Shower Curtain

Mix 16 fl oz. of bleach with 2 tablespoons of dishwashing soap in a spray bottle and spray the entire curtain with it. Let it sit for a few minutes before you rinse it off. This will be clean and disinfect your shower curtain.

Chrome Faucets

Spread some shaving cream on your chrome fixtures and wipe it off with a damp cloth to make them sparkling clean.

Mirrors

Spray a solution of baking soda and hydrogen on your mirrors and wiping it away with a sponge will give you a streak-free shine while removing any spots on your mirror. You can also use shaving cream which will prevent your mirror from fogging up after a shower.

Clogged Drain

Toss one or two Alka Seltzer tablets down your drain and follow with 1 cup of vinegar. Flush hot water down your drain after a few minutes.

Dip a mop in a solution of one part vinegar and one part warm water and clean your ceiling with it. This will cleanse your ceiling and keep it dust free. It’s always best to use safety goggles when you’re doing this kind of stuff.

Bathtub

Disinfect your tub and make it sparkle by mixing a 1/2 cup of vinegar, 1 cup of rubbing alcohol, and 1/4 cup of water with 4 quarts of warm water. Pour the solution evenly over the entire tub and let it sit for 15 minutes before you rinse it off. You’ll be shocked at how well this works without having to scrub your tub.

Rust

Got rust? No problem! Pour some salt over the rusty area and rub it in. Then squeeze some lemon juice over it and leave it there overnight. When you wash it off in the morning, the rust will wash off with it.
