Pascal and Catherine own a construction company in Kamouraska, Canada called Maison Logique. One of their proudest accomplishments is their very first project – and they still live in it today.
Pascal and Catherine built this adorable 180-square-foot home on wheels in just 40 days – and when you see inside, you’ll understand why it’s their pride and joy.
Pascal and Catherine make a great team – and this project is proof of that. Pascal handles the construction and technical side of things while Catherine handles the interior design – it’s a tiny home power team. Although the home is under 200-square-feet, its open and airy floor plan is spacious and welcoming. Let’s step inside to take a look.
Open the mint green French doors and enter the great room and lounge area.
The tiny home’s soaring ceilings make the small space feel extremely spacious and open. The built-in sofa (with a hidden surprise) has plenty of room for guests to lounge. The colorful and patterned pillows and cushions really stand out against the bare white walls. Notice the natural wood flooring – absolutely stunning.
Wondering that is hanging on the wall? It’s a drop-down table!
A supporting leg drops down as the table is folded down, providing the perfect place to dine or set up the laptop for a work session. When the table is folded up, it blends in nicely with the wall – a great way to save space.
The bench seating easily seats two people, but chairs could be added for guests. As for light? Most of it comes from the large windows surrounding the space. Otherwise, there are bright stringed lights on the wall for the nighttime hours.
What about storage or room for guests? Of course, the creative couple had a plan for that.
Near the entrance of their tiny home, there is a floor-to-ceiling closet to store a generous amount of clothing. As for guests, just pull out the extension under the sofa, add some extra cushions, and they have an extra guest bed.
The living room flows into the simple, farmhouse-style kitchen.
The full-sized kitchen has lots of space for preparing homecooked meals for family and friends. The kitchen features butcher block countertops, sink, two-burner stove, and a mini-fridge. What more do you really need?
Pascal and Catherine don’t have to worry about staying warm during those chilly Canadian winter nights.
The tiny home on wheels has a small wood burning stove that heats up the entire house. The couple’s home also has triple insulated windows and insulation for a cozy retreat all year long.
Climb up the white wood ladder to the comfy sleeping loft.
The sleeping loft has an all-white theme, with a few neutral colored throw pillows, which makes the small amount of square footage feel much roomier. Two large windows on either side provide lots of natural light.
The bathroom is located just past the kitchen.
The bathroom has a stand-up shower with warm wood paneling. Not pictured is a small built-in shelf for bottles of shampoo and body wash. There is also a composting toilet to add to the eco-friendly features of the handcrafted home.
Not only have Pascal and Catherine proven that living tiny doesn’t mean you have to give up modern amenities, but a tiny home can be built in almost no time at all.
