Nothing beats coming home after a long day when you have a cold, refreshing detox drink waiting for you. Now that summer’s here, I put together 6 recipes that will cool you down when you’re parched– even cleanse your body and burn your fat– and guess what? They’re all made with ingredients you can find at home!

Apple Cinnamon Infused Water

Apple cinnamon is one of my favorite combinations. Both ingredients raise your metabolism. Apples are rich in antioxidants, flavanoids, and vitamins, while cinnamon can lower cholesterol and help regulate your blood sugar. Not to mention, the apple spiced drink looks amazing and tastes great!

Just grab a mason jar or any other glass container for your drink. Slice one of your favorite kind of apple (honeycrisp, braeburn, or gala apples are recommended). Place the apples slices into your glass, enough to fill the container about halfway. Then throw in a cinnamon stick and add water. Cover the drink and refrigerate it overnight. The longer you let the water infuse, the stronger it’ll taste!

The famous spa-inspired detox drink might not be the sweetest, but it does pack a punch in cleansing your body and it can be delightfully refreshing! Just grab a ginger root and slice it with your knife after peeling it. Chop some cucumbers into thin slices as well. Place the ingredients into a glass along with water. Add in two rosemary sprigs and refrigerate your drink after covering.

Light Watermelon Spearmint Lemonade

Some nice watermelon, mint, and lemon complement one another perfectly, especially on a hot day! The ingredients can also help make for a wonderful detox drink too. The watermelon helps to rehydrate the body and is rich in vitamins A and B — which are known for their anti-aging characteristics. It also contains powerful antioxidants, while the mint contains strong antioxidants and helps to speed up the digestion process.

Just grab 4 seedless watermelon chunks and place them into a blender. Add some lemonade, or to avoid some extra sugar you can just add water to the blender and puree. Then add lemon slices to the water later if you want to go with just water. Once your drink is blended, throw in about half a cup of spearmint leaves and refrigerate your drink. Let it sit overnight and enjoy it after your drink is infused!

Strawberry Kiwi Water

Nothing says summer-time like some strawberry kiwi. This refreshing classic also makes for a great detox drink when infused. The kiwi is a super food jam-packed with tons of vitamins and also helps to clean out toxins from your colon. And the strawberry can help to fight against the carcinogens you might exposed to through the daily grind. It even contains life-giving properties such as biotin and ellagic acid, which can help reduce saggy skin and make you look younger!

Just chop each kiwi and each strawberry into 4 pieces and place them in a glass container. You could also add some spearmint leaves for a cool twist. Throw in some cold water and refrigerate.

Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Drink

Apple cider vinegar is well known for its variety of uses around the house in cleaning and health. It’s especially great for a powerful body cleanse due to its richness in minerals, vitamins and enzymes. Apple cider vinegar is known to aid digestion and helps to detoxify the liver, purify blood and improve circulation. And don’t worry, even if you don’t like vinegar, you can harness it’s cleansing powers by mixing it with other healthy, great tasting ingredients!

Just mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water, add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Throw in a pinch of cayenne pepper and a teaspoon of ground cinnamon fill the container with hot water. Be sure to stir your drink very well. You can refrigerate it and save it for later, or drink it hot for those times you need to warm yourself up!
