Here’s how to make it:
Materials:
- 2 metal hanging baskets
- 2 basket liners
- Large zip ties
- Soil
- Your chosen plant
Directions:
- Remove the chain from one of the baskets and place the liners on both.
- Cut slits or holes in each section and at the bottom center using the basket as the basis.
- Insert your plants’ roots through the slits from the outside.
- Add soil inside the basket and water them. Do this to the other basket.
- Put one basket on top of the other and secure the baskets with zip ties.
- The side with the chain would be the top. Hang it where you want to place them.
- Continue to water until it starts growing.
In a few weeks, you’ll see how beautiful it becomes as the flowers bloom.
This is a unique idea if you want to hang flowering plants instead of on the ground. It would add that pop of color to your home.

It follows the same process as the metal hanging basket, except that you don’t have to form this into a ball.
You can also cut some parts of the basket to create a bigger hole for your plant.
Another idea is using a tin can that you can find in your garage or at the dollar store.
This would require drilling the bottom so excess water can flow through.
You can also paint it with chalk paint and waterproof coating to give it some color.
Simply drill a hole at the side so you can attach a chain or sturdy rope so you can hang it.
