Annette Shrader from VolunteerGardener absolutely loves big, bold foliage. The issue with foliage is that it’s not usually durable, and it doesn’t last very long. Fortunately, Annette has an elegant and effective solution. Using a leaf casting technique, she shows you how to preserve your foliage for years to come.

Start with any leaf you would like to preserve. The size of it does not matter. Moreover, the color won’t matter either since it will be cast in concrete. Annette uses a giant elephant ear leaf in her demonstration. Other materials you will need for this project include a bag of sad, pre-mixed concrete, plastic wrap, and water.

In total, this project will take about 2 days to complete. After applying the cast to the plant, you will need to wait around 48 hours for the leaf to dry and cure.

The finished product is absolutely stunning. This could be a the perfect way to freshen up your home!

Please SHARE this fun project with all your friends. I am sure many of them will enjoy this!
