Even when women look nice, most feel there’s always room for improvement. This is especially true as they get older. But after age 50, it becomes increasingly more difficult to figure out the right look. Typically, women want something age-appropriate but at the same time, a hairstyle and makeup that compliments their personality.
The magician
If there’s one person that women around the country flock to for a makeover, it’s Christopher Hopkins. Fondly referred to as “the makeover guy,” he has an uncanny ability to come up with something perfect on a client-by-client basis. And that’s exactly what he did for one woman who afterward said she was a better version of herself.
His client, Ann
Hailing from Florida, Ann knew it was time to do something different with her looks. So, she made an appointment at Hopkins’ salon. In her interview, you can see that she has long hair that at one time, was naturally blonde. But now, quite a bit of gray shows through.
Feeling beautiful
Ann explained that she grew up with two brothers. For that reason, she lived a somewhat “rough and tumble life.” Being around boys all the time, girly things never came into play much. Even so, she stressed that she felt beautiful.
Getting older
Getting ready to turn 60, Ann reached a point where she was ready to look and feel even more beautiful than she already did. She knew there was a feminine person inside and was excited to see her come out. Well, she certainly chose the right person to help.
Making decisions
As part of a makeover with Hopkins, he does a one-on-one consultation. That allows him to assess his client’s hair, their facial structure and features, and even their personality. Based on everything, he makes his recommendation. But a makeover at his salon also includes an amazing makeup session performed by a professional.
Gorgeous locks
Ann talked a little bit about her time in the 80s. Back then, she loved experimenting with bold makeup. And her hair was so thick and long, people were envious. She stated that “if hair was money, I would’ve been a millionaire.”
Move forward to 2020
Ann still has a nice head of hair but it needs to be updated. She shared that on the inside, she’s very sweet, kind, and demure. But she agrees that how she feels on the inside doesn’t even come close to matching her outward appearance.
The big reveal
The first words out of Ann’s mouth after Hopkins and the makeup artist finished working on her were, “I am stunned.” Although her hair remained long, it was now cut just below her shoulders. And in place of a mousey blonde, she now has sandy blonde hair minus the gray.
More youthful
Comparing the before and after images of Ann, it’s hard to believe it’s the same person. She looks 10, possibly even 15 years younger than she did before. And Ann was right. She’s now a better version of herself. She’s gorgeous.
A new person
With all the work complete, Ann said that for the first time in her life, she feels soft and feminine. Without question, she looks like a lady. The thing she liked the most about her makeover is that while it enhanced her appearance, she still feels like Ann.
Hopkins did such an amazing job giving Ann exactly what she wanted. If you want to see her interview in its entirety, please watch the video below.
