When we think of getaway homes, we think about homes that are in hard-to-reach places. Many of us dream of such homes but know that we mostly like can’t afford to own our one ourselves. While you might not be able to own one, you certainly can rent one.
A Brazilian architect named Marko Brajovic designed the perfect getaway home in the Atlantic Forest along the coast of Brazil. Dubbed ARCA, this house respect the biodiversity of the environment while providing a relaxing, comfortable living situation.
Best of all, you can rent this home for a night (or few nights) on AirBnB. Crazy, right?
From a distance, the ARCA might not look like much, but as you step closer, it’s beauty really starts to show.
It’s located in the beautiful Atlantic forest. Because of this, Marko designed the home to provide stellar views of the outside world. He created a dome-shaped roof with windows acting as walls on two opposite sides of the home. It allows natural light to flood into the ARCA, and it provides great views of the forest!
The interior is beautiful. It’s both modern and minimalistic. The house comes fitted with comfortable furniture that is built for relaxation. Can you picture yourself napping on these beanbag chairs and enjoying the natural sunlight? I sure can.
The main room of the home features a long dining table perfect for a large family. It overlooks the jungle so you can enjoy the natural scenery while you eat.
The kitchenette is built along the interior side of the ARCA. It features a sink, stove, and even oven. It looks modern and sleek, and it’s perfect for cooking!
The wooden walls separate the main room from the other rooms of the house. In one of the rooms you can find a hidden full bathroom.
On two sides of the main room, you can find bedrooms that are very spacious. Each bedroom features a private porch area where you can go outside and enjoy the weather.
This makes the home perfect couples or families.
In addition to the porches in the bedrooms, there’s also a common porch area for families to gather together and enjoy the view. You can get a great glimpse of the natural world from here.
