If you love mermaid’s as well as plants, we’ve got the perfect addition for your home that will bring the ocean to you

Known as Crested Senecio Vitalis, this plant got the nickname “Mermaid Tail” because of its unique shape that mimics the tail of a mermaid. Unlike most succulents, Mermaid Tail Succulents grow in the winter and lay dormant during the summer. Native to the cape of South Africa, they’re also super easy to maintain which makes them a wonderful and easy addition to your plants.

Here’s some that looks so much like a mermaids tail, they’re practically about to swim away

Instagram user @special_plants_world posted this mermaid tail succulent that looks just like a mermaid’s, or even a whale’s tail.

Not only are these plants beautiful, but succulents are also known to help clean the air of the harmful toxins in your home, and even increase the humidity in your home.

With a blue/green tint, mermaid tail succulents can even grow up to about 2 feet high and 3-5 feet wide

People all over are catching on to this new plant trend, and we can totally see why! This one posted by @gardenpigeon looks like a mermaid’s tail in motion, and it’s even got a little buddy to hang with.

Another great thing about these trending plants is how easy and cheap they are to grow. You may be surprised by this next fact, and it makes these plants even more appealing.

You can even grow more mermaid tail succulents just by planting clippings from your old ones

Once you buy one, you may never have to buy another. That’s because, like many plants, mermaid tail succulents can grow out of themselves simply by using part of another one.

Judging by the size of this one, we’d say this is probably an older one and it looks exactly like a mermaids tail. How cool is that!?

Some people even believe plants like this improve your overall mood

Indoor plants are known to have many potential benefits, they may even help improve things like concentration, and productivity or even help combat fatigue or stress.
