As kids, we all dreamed of having a treehouse. Nothing special. Just a place, hidden away from the world, for you and your closest friends to relax, unwind, and enjoy your time together. Well, just because you’re an adult now, doesn’t mean you have to give up on that dream.
Nelson Treehouse specializes in designing and building magical treehouses for people around the world. They’ve really outdone themselves with this particular project.
This gorgeous home nestled 16-feet up in a tree and is located in Seattle, Washington. It incorporates everything we ever dreamed of as a child, with the necessities and functionality of a traditional home.
Make your way up the curved, wooden staircase to access the entrance of the home.
The beautiful home has cedar shingles and a large covered front porch. It’s the perfect place to entertain, relax, and take in the sights, sounds, and scents of the nature around you.
Although the treehouse is not that big, it offers everything you could ever need in a home.
Efficiency and clever storage solutions are paramount when living in a tiny space. Many pieces of furniture in the home serve a dual purpose. For instance, the seating area has multiple drawers of hidden storage underneath.
The seating area is situated underneath a large window, providing lofty views of the surrounding forest.
The built-in sofa is large enough for a guest to sleep over or for a quick catnap, and since it’s nestled into the wall, it doesn’t take up any extra walking or living space.
The kitchen is small and has been stripped to the basics, but it’s completely functional.
The tiny kitchen has a twin element induction stove, toaster oven, microwave, sink, and small fridge. What more do you really need? Small shelves have been installed to provide pantry storage.
Just off the living area, you’ll find a balcony that doubles as an outdoor shower.
Although there isn’t an enclosed bathroom in this treehouse, you could create a retracting awning with drop-down walls for the colder months. There is also a composting toilet that is not pictured here.
Climb up the ladder near the kitchen and seating space to reach the cozy and comfortable sleeping loft.
The space is large enough to fit a queen-sized bed, along with a small side table. A couple of windows are great for natural light and letting in a cool breeze.
A view from the loft showcases the efficient use of the 179-square-foot space.
A small dining table with stools can be stowed away when not in use. From this angle, you can see all of the windows which provide multiple vantage points to the wildlife and nature around the home.
